Unlucky with his second goal chalked off for offside, but he was put through for three easy goals aside from that and only scored 1. Not good enough. He should have had a hat trick tonight.

Had a warm poopoo in his pants each time in front of the goal. Even when he scored, he had all options available- left corner, right, lob the gk, dribble the gk - he shoots straight at him but luckily the ball went through.
Then again similar situation and the ball goes straight into GK.

I worry more about strikers when they don't get any chances and hide during games. All strikers miss some. Ronaldo would miss plenty during games but that mental toughness to keep coming back was incredible.

He's getting chances and taken 2 in 2 games. I liked how on his offside goal he took it round the keeper which is what he should have done on his previous chance.

He needs to punish teams more but I'm happier with his performances than at the end of last season.

Playing off the shoulder is where he wants to be. His touch and protecting of the ball really needs work, so he's not effective as the hold up man. Isn't really sensational at winning headers either. He is a 6'3" modern striker who wants to run in behind. But he doesn't have as much space for that in Serie A as he did tonight.

Still, I think the international break was good for his confidence, and he clearly loves having Di Maria around.
