He is very good player, don't be mistaken about it. He is an engine holding DM and excellent passer with technique.

But the thing is even if he is very good, he is not a 65-70m level player. If we not paying that outright and doing swaps, then it's OK.

But If it was outright purchase it would be highly excessive. And you can find similar level mids for better prices.

But as a player he is quite dynamic in the combo of his physicality, tackling, technique and passing. Defenitely will he quality addition even if overpriced.

I was reading another site and someone mentioned that Luiz needs a strong DM next to him. Not sure why that would be the case since he usually played with Tielemans, who I suppose would be in a similar mold of a player to Fagioli. So perhaps those two together would work, along with Koop in front of them.

Hopefully the plan is that Luiz would be the Rabiot replacement and not secondary option to Koopmeiners.

He wouldn't be a 65M player in Serie A, but he gets the Premier League tax. Doubt Villa would sell under 85M to another Premier League side. This is the market right now.

Probably because Douglas Luiz, since his young days with Vasco da Gama, was a midfielder known for his movimentation and box to box characteristics. He can do everything in the midfielder, I think he can do the Regista role better than Fagioli too. But we would make better use of him as a Box-to-Box.

Realistically, plusvalenze maneuvers from both teams aside, we are actually paying at the very most a little over €55M for him, because there is no way we would have been able to sell outright both McKennie and IlingJr with expiring contracts for more than €35M combined(maybe €40M if we were to be extremely lucky) this summer.

Aston villas best mid and main DM is Kamara. Anchor man type sitting DM. Luiz can do holding role in tiki taka type set up. But he isn't the pure main ball winner for Villa, that's Kamara. Luiz is more of the skillfull b2b orchestrator next to the DM that can tackle too.

His role in Villa is kinda like Ruben Neves in Wolverhampton, a nr 6 or 8 who allways plays next to a main DM.

But that doesn't mean that's how he is gonna be used in Juve or with any different coach then Emery.

In brasil NT games I seen him used as main DM. Maybe Juve can do it too, since Motta is a possession based coach who uses alot of pressing of whole team unit.

I think he means best midfielder last season since Kamara was injured for few months and Douglas Luiz manager to lead them to CL spot.

I forgot about Kamara, he is really good too. It will be interesting to see how Motta views Fagioli's role as well. But those two along with Koop give us some pretty decent ball-playing mids with some scoring potential. That's another thing we have lacked recently.

Maybe: Fagioli - Loca - Luiz or Fagioli - Luiz - Koopmeiners

Since the geniuses at FIGC used fucking Transfermarkt as evidence.. Douglas Luiz is currently estimated at €70M so we’ll be ok with this one.
but we're not selling him, we're selling mckennie and Iling

their valuation matters when it comes to plusvalenza
