right this is my logic, just because you can not grasp a deity doesnt make it illogical, and doesnt make you anymore intelligent by mocking my beliefs. You just look trite and infantile
You're reaching the highest levels of straw grasping. "Just because you can't see the light, doesn't mean it's wrong" . I know, because I use the same thing when I explain my musical preferences to other people and they laugh at me. Mate it just means that you're weird, nothing more.

I was raised a christian, went to a christian school - and realised how ridiculous it was. I can grasp a deity, and I think its stupid....which leads that i feel more intelligent than you, which I do.

I don't feel more intelligent than fred because he wouldn't use such a stupid argument.

jasper, you seem like a direct copy of a fanatical religious person just on the other side of the spectrum.
Then you know nothing about me. If someone says something that stupid then im going to point it out, other than that I couldn't give a fuck what someone believes - Organized Religion is what I despise.

I know about you from what you post here, not personally, that is what my opinion is based. And if you are against the organized religion go and boycot them and take the fight to them, not make fun of people their beliefs and world view. Because the belief in god has nothing to do with organized religion.

Eh? The belief in god has nothing to do with organized religion? The belief in god is central to organized religion.

Religion as it should be is a personal belief, something that alieviates the fear of death and justifies your existence - makes you feel like you have a purpose, if thats all it is - something to get you through the day - then I couldn't care less. But it isn't, and I oppose any form of public celebration or organization of religion. I will also take joy in mocking fools that say things like Adriano and hold an intelectual debate with guys like Fred. For the most part I wont look to debate surface issues, such as the discussion thats happened for the past two days, i'd prefer to discuss the evil that is organied religion.

I also really don't care what religious plebs think of my attitude, because they'll be first against the wall.

The evil things are done by humans who has used the religion as a tool. Take away religion and the action would still have been done but justified by a different reason. What I mean is that, sure, one can contemplate of all the wrong doings made by religion and rightly so. The actions taken should be discussed, reviewed, researched and so on. But taking into account of opposing organized religion is more difficult. I firmly believe that, like I get the feeling you do as well, states should be secularized and governed by logical reason. I'm agnostic to the degree that I enjoy the "beginning of the beginning", which we so far have difficulties to explain. In short, I have no beliefs. But I have to respect other's opinions (religion) if I want them to respect me. Even though I find all religions illogical. I guess I'm gonna be the first against the wall then, because I can respect other people. But keep in mind that even if you yourself were a God and able to wipe out religion from the world. The world would continue to have the same problems and people would simply, as I've already said, find a different tool to use to control people. Greed and such has nothing to do with religion, it's a human thing.

You are discussing a hypothetical, something i despise...but i'll reply in kind.

If you take away that incentive I can't see how someone could get the platform to tell 2 billion people that using condoms will send them to hell (and the real world implications of that), or want to establish a pan islamist (which wouldn't exist...) region - and fly planes into buildings/rowing boats to battleships filled with explosives. If you take away the position of power and authority then there is no way this stuff could happen. Yes governments will still fight over different incentives, but the power that these autocratic regimes, that are organized religions, hold in democratic (before semi democratic - Iran etc. and autocratic - saudi arabia etc.) is ridiculous and unbelievable in the current age of globalisation and multiplatform multimedia.
