Why doesn't God heal amputees?
Oh you must think the God we speak of is some kind of a character out of DC Comics. I guess that's understandable since you haven't done your research...and in before "its your job to prove God exists" I don't have to prove anything to an atheist. You've chosen to close the door completely.

God doesn't end suffering or diseases or stop natural calamities because A) you don't comprehend the fact that we're on this earth for a very very short period, in fact the concept of life on Earth in Islam is a transit to our destination which is the after-life. When someone dies we say "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" which translates to "From God we come and to Him we shall return". Of course as human beings we feel terrible when a loved one dies but we have full faith in that verse and we accept that we're just transiting through this place. B) God has given us the tools to help each other, to create a just society, to find cures to end physical & mental suffering, etc. Unfortunately today we're too busy exploiting each other and worshiping money and other material things.

So if this life really is a transit, why would he provide tools to help each other or cure physical and mental suffering? It's not gonna last anyway, right? So what's the point?

See, this is why I don't buy your point, Ze. On one hand, you refute the amputee question by saying life is just a transit and that there are better things. Yet you make it seem like god's the good guy here by providing all these tools. Why can't you simply agree that god would be doing better by healing amputees rather than giving us all these tools? Why do you have to walk the line between god being helpful and unhelpful?

There's no argument for or against God, as there really isn't any credible evidence either way.

Seriously. The absolute plethora of religions in this world is rather enlightening when it comes to the question of whether any single one of them is actually right... If there is some God/Godhead in the Universe, it's probably having a good laugh at all the morons on Earth pretending theirs is the proper path to God, and all others are blasphemers or infidels.

Arguing over the existence of God is the most pointless mental masturbation possible. There is no argument. God is a theory without evidence. Could God still exist? Sure. There's no way to prove otherwise. Anything we can think could exist somewhere in the Universe. But that's so fucking irrelevant to living. What a waste of a life to spend pondering something so... utterly unknowable.

Elongate your life on earth to enjoys the bounties of it and if the longer time you have on earth the longer time you have to rectify things. Once you're dead you'll be judged on what you did so if you're not living right yet you still have time to get it right.

Why would he be doing better? You enjoy freedom in every single aspect of life every day and look down on places like North Korea because there you have no freedom whatsoever but as soon as you hear that there's a God that has given you free will you can't comprehend it. God could have done without anything "bad" if he was involved with every little aspect of life, from prevent you from stepping into that pothole filled with rainwater to not have anyone die ever but then we'd all be like robots and would have bland boring and meaningless lives. Instead life is more interesting. It's an interesting journey. You go out into the world and you meet new people, share new ideas, explore and observe new things. You go through life without knowing the outcome otherwise what'd be the point? This, what you're doing right now, having this discussion is as a result of this freedom.

So, if I say there's a spaghetti monster up in the sky and claim it created the universe, does that make it a theory?
