I have. I am just saying I hate the google this answers. The internet has info for all sides and googling it doesnt bring any answers just more questions for most
Oh, sorry I wrote google. Would it have been better if I wrote he should look it up in a book? I know nothing about this, only what I once read about the subject in a newspaper (you hate those too?).
I was just telling him where to read about it and the Jesus vs Horus thing was just to annoy people like you.

Point is this tells you two things:

1. Christianity was not original.
2. A lot of religions know this, why?
I never claimed originality for Christianity, for me Christianity is what rings true, Yeshua is the one who fulfills the prophecies to a T and is a person who actually existed unlike most other, Messianic deities, so for me my heart believes he is the living son of Jehovah the creator of all. This is my belief in Deity. I do not pretend that all will believe as I do, but this is the truth to me. In summation , my belief in Christianity has no bearing on others belief if Deity exist or not. Christianity is my path to God, others have theirs

If miracles which abound by the way , were conclusive than there would be no need for faith and in turn no need for free will because we wouldntt have to go on our path and journey to find God , we would just know. In the end God doesn't want drones he wants someone to come to him on his own
Demonstrate to me why blind faith in anything is a good thing.

"there is that which helps you believe
in something else besides death:
somebody in a car approaching
on a street too narrow,
and he or she pulls aside to let you
by, or the old fighter Beau Jack
shining shoes
after blowing the entire bankroll
on parties
on women
on parasites,
humming, breathing on the leather,
working the rag
looking up and saying:
“what the hell, I had it for
while. that beats the
other.”

and consequences dont deter completely otherwise we d be crime free
The problem is that the consequences vary in different scenarios. It's not all black and white. And this also determines the level of adherence to the rules. If people do sense that they can break a rule and get away with it, then they'll do it.

Bro your getting a bit annoying with your incessant whining. I have made myself clear in repeated posts, why in my eyes Jesus is the son of God and why I believe in God none of it to me is blind. Look back even Alen pointed out my points, scripture, prophetic fulfilment and historical documentation, atop with his dogma speaking to me. Its like you go around in circles just because you want to be antagonistic, if you don't want to believe then don't. You can only lead a horse to water you cant make it drink

Not whining, andrea. I'm just asking for your justification as to why faith(not just in a religious figure, but all walks of life) is a good thing; which either you cannot do, or do not want to.
Thats a different question and maybe before I miss interpreted your question. My faith isnt Blind, I went through a long joureny to get where I am spiritually and believe me its on going and still growing, I'm not a saint nor am I perfect by any means. My Faith brings me strength in darkness, It brings me depth of existence and it brings me depth of character. As humans we have a tendency to be selfish and sometime devious if not evil, my faith has helped me grow, beyond materialistic, desires, beyond selfishness and self centered mindset. I thought before my faith I was a "good " person yet through my faith I realized how flawed that thinking was.

I KNOW you are a good person, andrea. I'm sure you're a great guy in person and I'd love to meet you in this lifetime. And i mean it with all my heart. :)

The reason i ask for a justification is because that is the basis of brief in any religion. Yours, and all the people I've met. I'm personally still not sold on it yet. And judging by the path I'm in, i may never will. And i know you will never see things the way i do. But I'm sure that there is or will be someone in the forum that, like me, me be sitting on the fence and be seeking the answers to the questions i pose. I hope that that person can someday look back on these posts and make an informed decision. Depending on that person, he may choose your path or mine. I don't know. But i hope that, like for me, these posts well actually help in their decision making.

Thanks for indulging me as always. Happy new year. :)

How is that ignorant ? I said I do not ignore science. Why would I accept what a limited human mind can comprehend ? There are many things a mans mind can't understand and to believe we can answer these questions is the height of arrogence
considering you are human, how can you trust your "limited human mind" would make the right decision? After all its limitations are not selective or discriminating - if they are an issue for one thing, they would be an issue for everything.

P.S. I perfectly understand that letting someone/something else find the answers and make the decisions for you is a lot easier than you doing all that on your own but how can you trust your limited mind even with such a seemingly simple choice?

Faith isn't just a decision made with the mind and those without it can not understand that it comes from a place beyond the mind.
