yes and I understand the 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 while defending and the theory of a defensive RB(who needs to know how to play CB also) in a 3-4-1-2 while attacking.

With Diego I'd prefer 4-3-1-2 over 4-4-2 for sure.

It would be hard to play Camo there if he isn't versatile...but he is and that's the reason why I'd change the system into 4-3-1-2 where Diego would shine...I remember him(Camo) playing in middle before and he was great.I even wanted him to start there again next match.

He is old and he can be replaced in a few years but he's also injury prone sadly.But that doesn't matter,if we play him in 4-3-1-2 when he's fit I think he'd do a good job.

Nedved wasn't a typical AMC like Totti (for Italy and Roma in the past). He still covered his left side while Camo was playing on the right and it was still a 4-4-2.


We never played Camo as a right winger with empty space on the left wing. Camo did play as a right winger but Nedved was still covering the left side. Diego can also do that and that is what Di Livio is suggesting.
I agree with Di Livio that it can work, especially since they are all great players, but i still see Diego doing better if he plays a classical AMC.

The bolded part is true. He certainly wasn't a typical winger as Capello and Ranieri play him, but he did operate mostly from the left side. He was an AML more than an AMC.

- he could be afraid to flop again like in porto .. right now he has a team that is build around him and where he is the undisputed star
- his next club is likely the one with that he will make the next step (perhaps competing for the champions league)... there are other teams that have a better history in competing for the CL lately
- since his next club will be one where he will spend his prime he will try to get the highest wage and the best club to fit his needs... todays contracts are often 4 years and so his next club will be the best he gets and not some club he does not consider the absolutely best (he wont use the next club as stepstone)

We are among the top in Serie A and we are a doing good job in Champions League.I don't think he'd want to stay there forever.Secco can help,talk to him 100 times untill summer market,watch his games,make him a fu#king house in Torino or whatever it helps to convice him come here or sign a pre-contract.

Yeah,he can maybe adore Spanish sunset or English sky-high wages but that should not be a reason why to stop chasing some player and give your best to sign him.Especially if that player is Diego's quality.

Well it's all up to player.If it's me I'd rather choose some top club with decent wages & starting spot and not some rotation with Ronaldinho or someone...especially because he's still very young.Weather is not bad in Italy.

-If he wants to advance in football career he will take the risk and move and not be afraid to do something like that.He already is Bremen star but I think he would love to be a Juve star.It's something else.

In the news are written that diego approve to come at Juventus but Ranieri at this morning decided to not accept Diego. For my opinion we should get Diego because he is a cool player. The only way I can see Diego fitting in, would be if he was willing to fill in at LM when we don't have the ball.

We would also need to get a very good LB to get forward and maintain width on the left side when Diego goes into more central areas.

This is pretty much sticking to our beloved 4-4-2, it is just giving Diego the freedom to make it a 4-3-1-2 when we have possession.

Thats actually a very good idea, but it would of course need a leftback other than Molinaro someone who can go up and down, and we all know that Ranieri likes Molinaro and has shown no indication that he'd replace him in the near future.
