Oh man, Juve signing Diego, i love the idea of a Diego - Giovinco link up. Suddenly the midfield would just be the the most promising one in Europe with the potential to be great for a long, long time to come.

this rumor is pure bull. Ranieri doesn't even let a similar player to Diego in Gio play as a attacking midfielder, and Gio can even play as a winger too, yet he is still benched because of Ranieri's flat 442. Yet apparently we want to get Diego so Ranieri can put him on the bench.

Are we getting Diego so that Raneri can put him on the bench? What purpose will that serve all concerned parties? I always thought you are composed in your opinions.

what I meant was what's the purpose of getting an attacking midfielder, when we have a very talented one already, who can also play as a left winger in a 442, yet is seeing so little playing time because of our coach's tactics.

So in all it's almost like getting another player to warm the bench.

And now I understand what you said but I think that Diego can do a lot more than Giovinco so if he come he won't be sitting on the bench.

Diego is definitely the better player, at least for now. But I just don't see a place for him here until Ranieri is gone and our defense is fixed first.

Bringing Diego has nothing to do with loaning Giovinco... we might only bring Diego if we loan Ranieri.

Zapata could be a possibility this January right? Yeah he was injured all year and still is I think but Udinese are playing real well without him and Felipe so it might not be that hard getting him. The good thing is that he could be available for the CL.

Agreed. Although I believe we are seriously after diego, our management want's to impress the fans and after 2 "bad" mercatos I think its about time they surprise us. Diego would help us tremendously and if you buy better full back, the idea of 2 defensive midfielders would certainly be tarnished.

I'm thinking more about the future. We'll need a young CB because we're a bit old in that department(right side) so getting one of the best now that his value is lower then we should go for it. Andrade and Knezevic can get the boot any day for all I care. Next season you bring in Criscito and we're set.

I dare say that we could use a top quality full back ahead of a CB. Preferably one who could play well on both flanks and who's not just solid, but rather one who offers a lot in attack too.

Just look at players like Maicon, Evra and Clichy to see how much a great full back can do for the team.
