What are the chances of Rossi actually playing though?
I know, they're rather slim, that's what I meant to say. There is no chance of seeing the 4-2-3-1 unless Gio and Camo are back, since we already have plenty of youngsters who could fill the gaps if we really wanted to stick with that formation.

I was simply answered Cronios who was saying not getting Lanza would decrease the chances of seeing the single striker formation.

:agree: I remember watching him kick Maicons butt in last seasons pre-season, he is a good young player but unfortunetly I have hardly seen him feature. What has happened to him and the likes of Castiliga and Esposito?

Parma Director Pietro Leonardi Confirms Davide Lanzafame Will Not Join Juventus

Leonardi finally emerged from the shadows to give a reason regarding Parma's decision to scupper the move.

"This is a choice which gives continuity to our project," the director told the press.

"We don't want to be seen as a club that changes project every six months. We are happy the player understood our message.

"Our will was always known, and the player took note. We did not have to convince Juventus, as long as we are convinced that's all the mattered."

I hope that was a dig at our management

I guess people just don't seem to understand it.

Why would Parma need to convince us in a matter in which we are the ones who need to do the convincing? It is truly beyond me.

That is indeed debatable. I was never happy with what happened there, but what's done is done.

Lanza would cost us considerably more than just wages.
Like I said, we have an agreement with Parma for a season long loan. Right now we do not have the right to recall him, so in order to get him back we would have to come to a new agreement with Parma.
From what I heard there were talks that this new agreement would cost us 500k. That is a lot of money wasted, considering that you're paying for your own player & considering that he will barely set foot on the pitch.
My point is, sir, that if we buy a new striker this winter, it is going to cost us much more than 500k. Business wise it makes sense to bring lanza back, though somewhat tarnishing our ethics in deal making with other clubs.

:howler:

That is good...I can't wait to see how our club reacts.

That is obviously true, but that has nothing to do with why we have "difficulties" getting our own player back, which I believe was your initial question.

No matter how you look at it though, it comes down to the same thing: if you want him now, you overpay for a player that is yours to begin with. Business wise that does not make sense, to me at least.

You're absolutely right. Its like selling a car you own then buying it back for more than you sold it for. Doesn't make much sense but when its the only car you can afford and you REALLY need a car, then sometimes you got to take it on the chin. Regardless, I don't think he will come and score loads of goals so its hard to say if he would even help. What I am saying is, I don't want this to end in us trying hard to get him back but failing like we did with Criscito.

We have been discovered...time to regroup and play off the "project" as a media coup d'etat to take over Juve...the new Juve plan will now be called that..."the Plan"

Are you kidding me, Secco you bastard he can't even bring home Lanza. God i really hopped that we would see Lanza in Juve again. We need strikers with speed and technique. OMG Secco is really the history's worst sporting director off them all.

What exactly was he supposed to do? We made a deal with Parma to loan them Lanza for the season. All he could do was see if Parma would be willing to change this deal. It was always unlikely that they would be.
