Trezeguet wants to stay at Juve
Wednesday 14 July, 2010

David Trezeguet says it's his intention to stay at Juventus this summer amid speculation that the club has plans to sell him.

The 32-year-old's exit looked like a foregone conclusion earlier this summer, but he has made such a good impression on Gigi Del Neri in pre-season training that members of the coaching staff want to keep him.

Trezeguet has been linked with Valencia and Napoli in recent weeks, but both clubs are exploring alternatives.

The French striker has a year left on his contract in Turin and is held in high regard among the club's fans after a decade in black and white.

After training yesterday, Trezeguet was asked a question about his future, to which he replied: “I don't want to leave at all.”

It remains to be seen what Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta makes of Trezeguet's wishes, as he is conducting a wide-reaching overhaul of the current squad.

:touched:

We all knew it was gonna happen. Let him see out this contract till January, see how things go and after that renew it for 2 more years, depending on performance.

Trezeguet, siempre bianconero!!
