miss Serie A, says Trez Friday 3 November, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Trezeguet has admitted that he’s desperate to win promotion back to Serie A with Juve as soon as possible.

The Bianconeri earned their eighth straight win over Brescia on Wednesday and are now only three points short of Serie B leaders Genoa, while they prepare Monday night’s big match with Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.

“I’m really pleased with the win over Brescia,” said Trezeguet to the brand-new Juventus Channel.

“Our physical condition was better compared to the match with Frosinone and we played at a higher technical level.

“There was also the additional motivation of the 109th anniversary celebrations before the match and it was the first time we played in front of a sold-out stadium this season, which is always important,” added the Frenchman.

“It’s important for me that the team does well. We need to fight until the very end to return to Serie A as soon as possible – we miss it.

“This is a long championship and it’s going to take a lot of hard work, but we are on the right track. We need to work together as a team, starting from our trip to Napoli on Monday.”

Trezeguet remained in Turin over the summer despite the club’s relegation to Serie B, a decision which he found hard to make.

“It was a delicate choice for me,” he added. “I spent seven years here, winning four titles and playing in the Champions League, but the club and the Coach made it clear they were counting on me.

“This is my reality now. It’s just a matter of working hard and helping the team get back to Serie A right away,” concluded the 29-year-old striker.

In the meantime, Coach Didier Deschamps may have to do without Jean-Alain Boumsong for the trip to Naples.

The defender underwent scans on Friday which revealed an inflammation to his left adductor muscles.

:agree:
hes going through a bad patch these days and frustration is evident on him.Hes been getting some half chances and they could be tough ones, so when he misses it makes him miss the easier ones.

But no worry abt him, he has enough quality to deliver in

:agree: He had a half chance against Frosinone, but he unselfishly left it for DP to score his 200th. Trez is a great guy - he'll still be scoring a lot of goals in the near future.

Medical Bulletin

For the away trip to Napoli, Didier Deschamps has been unable to call-up the players who picked up injuries against Brescia on Wednesday; that’s Boumsong, Kovac and Marchionni, along with Trezeguet who, after the game, felt the effects of muscle ache in his left thigh. The Frenchman carried out tests in training this morning, but the results were not positive and he will be unable to make the trip.
Possibly Boji in at the start with Palladino & Guzman as subs.

i think the break will do him some good, Although scoring against napoli would've done wonders. But it would be a tough game and hard to score, eventually it could lead to more frustration.

It's time to try with Alex - Boji in attack. They didn't play together and it will be interesting to see how it will be tomorrow.

Also not scoring against Napoli would kill him .. He must be lookin forward to it ..

So I guess his minor injury is for the best :)

his form will come, he always gets in a bad patch every season. he's a 20+ goasl striker and he'll deliver, he can't score in every game. too bad about napoli, but than again bojinov will get his chance and i think he'll be really fired up to show his worth.

Del Piero and Bojinov are dynamic duo. They will do great together.

Trez is not in bad form at all, his 2 goals were ruled out for offsides, but these offsides didn´t exist at all.

Trezeguet will stay, say Juve

More Serie B newsJuventus have moved to dismiss speculation regarding France forward David Trezeguet's future at Stadio delle Alpi.

There has been constant talk about the former Monaco striker's situation as he plays in Serie B for the demoted champions.

Trezeguet missed Monday's match against Napoli and, with January's transfer window looming, the whispering campaign is likely to begin in earnest again.

Juve insist that their striker merely had an injury and there are no worries regarding the player.

"Trezeguet linked with Milan?" said president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli.

"David is absolutely not for sale."

milan can go and scr*w themselves. all gossip imo, milan are gonna go for toni most likely, and i doubt they would go for trez after selling sheva. not exactly the same type.

Neither is Luca Toni.

I would sell only Zalayeta to Milan. Or maybe Balzaretti.

i know, but he's certainly more similar than trez. point is, i can imagine him playing alongside gilardino or olivera, not trez.
