Trezeguet didn't get picked because he's a plank, 20 goals or not, he's as mobile as an SUV in quicksand! I hate the fact he's a starter at Juve. Let's give Amauri a chance next season.
Oh dear.

What nonsense. 160 goals in 277 matches makes him one of the best strikers the club has ever had. Just because Domenech is too thick to figure out how to use Trez doesn't mean he's not a really valuable asset.
Well said.

In a team that are different types of strikers and a Trezeguet type of striker is definitely needed in games where a goal is badly needed. I rather have a striker which can score with half a chance than a striker who cannot score despite having tons of chances.

Furthermore Trezeguet has tons of International and European experience and has played in big games for quite some time. He has also been scoring pretty consistently. Domenech's is just too dense to admit that he has a problem in utilising Trezeguet in the squad.

And who knows Domenech may leave out Frey + Mexes too

Can you drop the anti-French sentiments? I am tired of thrashing the Azzurri but you leave me no choice. Show some respect ffs.
It's an international Juventus forum.. it's expected that some, or most of the people who post here support the Italia NT.. and by that these same people are probably anti french (well italy and france don't really go well together in football do they)

and by all means, if you want to trash the azzurri go ahead, no one said you couldn't. it's a football forum after all, this is where all the trashing happens!

records for a striker does mean something.. he's a consistent goalscorer and with the whole team working up to defend and attack, you need that one person to actually SCORE from all those efforts. and that's trez. im sorry, i dont know what dom's beef with trez is but he's being an idiot, and rather unprofessional. theres no way a sane coach would pick cisse over trez for this, what more with trez's current form (though one could argue his form has always been the same since he does nothing and score goals which is what he has been doing all this while )

Ranieri Baffled By Domenech's Trezeguet Snub

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has been left baffled by Raymond Domenech's decision to snub in form striker David Trezeguet from his France squad.

Raymond Domenech picked his provisional France squad on the weekend and he left out Trezeguet even though he picked nine strikers for the 30-man squad which will be cut down to 23 before the UEFA deadline next week.

Trezegol, who hit the net 20 times for the Bianconeri in Serie A this term, will be watching from the stands and Ranieri is baffled with Domenech's decision to leave such a prolific scorer out from the side.

"I really dont understand this decision," Ranieri told ANSA.

"Trezeguet is a sublime goalscorer and an excellent striker."

"He is a formidable player of such high calibre and it's difficult to understand the decision."

The Juventus striker thus misses out on his first major tournament since winning the World Cup in France 98.

Trezeguet's relationship with Domenech has not been a rosy one by any means and the two had a war of words recently when the French coach accused the striker of not being good enough up front.

Domenech has always had a penchant for speaking out of terms in the past but it has more often than not back fired.

Many will argue it's a big mistake to leave out Trezeguet given the fact he has scored more goals than Barcelona's Thierry Henry this season.

once again, R. Domenech can go f*ck himself. i hope he gets fired by F.F.F. immediately after Euro is decided.
