If Trezeguet and the board are actually disagreeing over a meagre difference in his pay, its plain that the issue here isn't the money, is it? The board evidently do not want David enough to overlook an issue of a few hundred thousand euros a year, and David would rather leave than settle for a compromise; the way I see it the feeling is mutual and a split inevitable.

There seems to be a strong bond between Trez, Nedved, Gigi and DP. They are playing together for many years now. I love it. That's the spirit and that's why our core has to stay untouched.
I hope they succeed in talking him round - it's not the fans nor his team-mates that Trez wants to leave.
If Juve cant afford Him, they have to sell him...it cant get simpler than that! obviously the shitty offer is shitty due to the pay!

Juve's board have money available to buy players, but will not use a fraction of that amount to hold onto their stars. Juve's board say they can't afford to offer players any more money for wages, yet they make no attempt to get anything for the players leaving (some clubs depend on transfer fees to survive). Clearly there is bad management going on. The question is; - Is it deliberate mismanagement so that we do not recover our status as quickly as we could, or is it sheer incompetence by those holding the purse strings? Talk about penny wise: pound foolish! :jester:
Well, Gigli's daughter is an Inter fan, so maybe she asked Moratti and Rossi to do his father some favours. :D
How could a Juventino have an interesti child?:disagree: That's one reason I suspect him over Secco. Secco is not in control of the purse strings: Gigli is! Also, wasn't it said when Gigli took over that he knew nothing about football? - That's another reason I suspect Gigli over Secco. Secco has worked for Juve for years. I have never heard of the team criticising Secco, yet Trez's gesture was directed at Gigli in the stands, and although there have been occasional fallouts in the past, never have so many Juve players/staff falling out with the management in such a short time.

if his hearts not at juve anymore then its best if he goes. His shown his loyalty by staying with us through thick and thin.. dont think its right in putting pressure on him, or using alternative means to convince him to stay.

Trezeguet To Stay?

The Italian media is reporting that the French player may make a U-turn and decide to remain in Turin despite the various offers received from abroad.

It seems that Alessandro Del Piero and Gianluigi Buffon have convinced the Juventus directors to hold on to David Trezeguet after the two Italian players had stated in the past days that it would be very bad for Juve to lose the French striker.

In fact, according to reports coming from the Italian media, the Old Lady is set to offer its prolific striker a new 4-year deal, where Trezeguet will gain 4 million Euros per year up till the 30th of June 2011.

This decision to increase the wages of the player might induce Trezegol to change his mind on leaving the club and refuse the offers made to him by Valencia (3-year deal at 2.7 million Euros per year) and Lyon (3-year deal at 3.5 million Euros per year).

If this will be the case, then we will hear new developments in the coming days, with possible good news for the Juventus fans.

Juve are lead by too many leaders. Juve is becoming very indecisive, and its making us look childish.

I want Trez to stay but u can't conduct business and run a competitive club with uncertainty and no vision in the transfer market.

:agree:

But now we can also see another side of the story, the goal.com article says he gonna earn less in Valencia or any other club than he earns now at Juve, which means it was all about the money and I'm not pleased with that :disagree:
nope, other clubs could offer him more money.
Valencia and Lyon, the most interested, will not be able to offer him the amount he wants. Valencia have a salary cap, the highest paid player is Villa (2ME a year, it could become 2.5ME this summer though)

that applies to all the fields with our market approaches over the past 6 months, its like the board is disoriented in their approach. Even Zampareni said that its harder dealing with this new board than the last one.

i just don't get the feel they have a grip on things and they are just going to buy without a well thought plan, and another thing is that sadly Ranieri was associated with that same kind of approach in his first season in Chelsea and i didn't like it tbh.

I fear you are right here. There seems to be no prioritization over acquisitions or the releasing of players..

However the market is only really now underway after the Spanish finale. Plus we had to: 1-Get back into A, 2-Extend Buffon. Both of which we have now achieved so we can't expect too much too soon.

It's the conflicting signals coming out of the club rather than the actual (lack of)movements that are so concerning. Juve used to be one united voice like a ManU instead of players and management constantly conflicting in the press - not a good sign for going foward..
