"Juventus signs Danilo and will pay around 20m euros"

after some description of the player, the article finishes with "The Turin club will push in the next 3 days to make the transfer official[...]"

When Danilo was in great form at Porto - did Porto play him as a wing back or as a right back? I have a feeling that Lichsteiner will bench him.
Ain't gonna happen.

We're paying high for Danilo and he's gonna have high wages. Licht will barely play (if he even stays here).

I still think we'll sign De Sciglio so he'll possibly play both sides and get a lot of minutes.

People rely on Danilo a whole lot already. It's like his years at Real did not happen. I'm at least a bit worried which Danilo are we gonna see here, the one from Porto or the one from Real. I don't see Real as one of the clubs that ruins talents, though, unlike Inter.

I'm a bit sceptical about this move and it ain't cheap for sure. It's a huge risk that we're doing plus we'll also making him one of our top earners, or among top 6.

In the past they surely were the kings of misusing talented players, f.e. Sneijder and Robben led their teams to CL glory after leaving Real, Morientes and Morata knocked Real out while on loan at Monaco and Juventus. It has changed lately though, last major fuck-up I can think of theirs is hiring Rafa Benitez, otherwise the club is ran very well nowadays and even their more questionable decisions like selling Di Maria or Ozil have been proved right over time.

If Danilo is incapable of fitting in at Real's defensive plan, it's a huge question mark whether he's intelligent enough to master RB role for Juventus.

How did they ruin them ?

Özil at Madrid >>>> Özil at Arsenal

Robben was in blistering form for them during his last season with them until he was pushed out for Kaka/Ronaldo.

I don't call that as ruining.

Even Isco nowadays is a top player for them.

The numbers mentioned are between 20m and 30...how's that expensive? He's only 26, tke price is more than good for us.

He was signed for 30mln at Real. And he choked there. We're signing a risky player for over 20mln PLUS very heavy wages. Of course price isn't more than good for us. It's a huge question mark.

He was only there for 2 years and they used a youth product from their academy there, I'm not worried about his form as we talk about different leagues, different tactics. 20-30m gets you Lemina-ish players, depth and rotation players...his price is good for me.
