467.6 matches vs 546 matches
474 goals vs 479 goals
193 assists vs 137 assists

That is 56 assists more while playing less than 79-80 matches. And if we count the key passes the different will become more clear
And dont forget the penalty counts , so we paid 118m for 33 year old CR7 while PSG getting Messi for free that is the difference that we should not take in the first place

Where has been Messi's key passes and goals in UCL + NT? It happens only in La Liga against bottom feeders.

Now move on.

Raw stats like that are very arbitrary though. Messi probably has a higher % of his shots taken within ranges he’s more likely to hit the target whereas Ronaldo is known to take on shots from obscene angles and ranges no other player would even think of which will skew the data. Therefore those numbers don’t necessarily prove Messi is a more deadly finisher.
Under Dist you can see the average distance of all shots taken.

Their stats depend massively on the teams around them. Messi will be the stat king this year because French league is no contest for PSG but remember his best performances and most successful period were with Xavi and Iniesta then alongside Suarez and Neymar. Ronaldo is doing it with Bernardeschi and Rabiot having adapted to every club he played for. Stats are just stats.
