Reports that his wages would be decreased to ~20m but he'd get an extension for another year...

So instead of making 31m net over one year, he'd earn ~40m over two seasons. How would that decrease his weight on the books? From my calculations from top of my head we'd go from ~90m to ~55m...

That's a huge cut and add to that some sales and the 80 mil from the capital investment it's a good swing

Romano is all over the place he's shittin the bed this year. Not saying these Portuguese rumors are true but romano is only good as formaggio
I agree with you that he is not as reliable as Portuguese media but with our financial situation we would find it difficult to renew Ronaldo contract and it would be better if we can get haaland or Mbappe

If we couldn't renew Ronaldo especially if it's true he's lowering his wage to 20 mil and adding a year on the contract how would we afford haland or I miss important pkbappe

Those two are a pipe dream we are not getting them and if you cant afford ronaldo how the hell can you afford either of them when you will have to pay an insane transfer fee and on top of wages.

I dont know if Ronaldo will drop he's wages to stay as he really does not have to considering he is still easily a top 3-5 attacker in the world even at this age but if he does then fair play and respect.

I am just putting the scenario out that we need to sign or atleast attempt to sign haaland or Mbappe
That's unrealistic to a point it's worthless discussing. In times like these where Real can't buy Mbappe, out of sudden Juve can do it?

I think the club will not spend huge amounts for quite a few seasons, Juve is not owned by sheiks.

Obviously I am speaking in case Mbappe does not renew his contract with PSG which ends next season we can definitely afford either one or both of them with the new tax laws

If ronaldo rumours came out of him wanting to leave his managers phone would not stop ringing from enquiries from other clubs. If there is any truth to that 20m per season or 2 years it would only mean that no other clubs are willing to pay him that amount.

Moving ronaldo on would be to only free up salary and potentially including him in a deal for another player that allegri wants..e.g. pogba.

Anyone thinking mbappe or haaland is going to join cuz ronaldo is moved is delusional.

Because Ronaldo has an almost zero book value and will be 37 soon.
Mbappe and Haaland will have a book value of 150-200 mil. It's an easy choice for me. For example, if we get Haaland for 75 mil or thereabouts (his release clause) and pay him 20 mil net on a five year contract that is an annual operation of about 55 million, compared to the 85 mill that Ronaldo costs us. And we can sell him for a substantial figure if the need arises. Mbappe for me is not as attractive an option because I don't like his attitude and he will demand something like 30 mil net per year.

For "Peak" CR the bidding would start at 400M and wages would be 60m+ a year not 30m..we are paying half not double.
We are taking about GOAT here, to put it in perspective now that he has aged, strikers out there now even in their prime, are barely on his level and STILL it can be argued he is at worst among top 5 game changers so what's the basis to pay him less? Let's not forget brand appeal and money he brings in and even with inferior squad we have he has done his part period.
No club will pay that kind amount of money for peak Messi, let alone for peak CR7

300m growth investment is to grow CR7 money bags
400m another covid growth investment to keep growing CR7 money bags
Still no UCL , fuck

We can get 11 Chiesas or 17 Locatelli's for that money and they are the future. CR7 is the past now
