I agree with you that he is not as reliable as Portuguese media but with our financial situation we would find it difficult to renew Ronaldo contract and it would be better if we can get haaland or Mbappe

If ronaldo rumours came out of him wanting to leave his managers phone would not stop ringing from enquiries from other clubs. If there is any truth to that 20m per season or 2 years it would only mean that no other clubs are willing to pay him that amount.

Moving ronaldo on would be to only free up salary and potentially including him in a deal for another player that allegri wants..e.g. pogba.

Because Ronaldo has an almost zero book value and will be 37 soon.
Mbappe and Haaland will have a book value of 150-200 mil. It's an easy choice for me. For example, if we get Haaland for 75 mil or thereabouts (his release clause) and pay him 20 mil net on a five year contract that is an annual operation of about 55 million, compared to the 85 mill that Ronaldo costs us. And we can sell him for a substantial figure if the need arises. Mbappe for me is not as attractive an option because I don't like his attitude and he will demand something like 30 mil net per year.
