He is least of our worryes... He is trying, running in, but our midfield is not capable of feeding him with the balls. Just like morata, they are both 10 times in a game caught offside and not because of their mistakes but passes from midfiled. At real modric, kros and casemiro was feeding him, here bentancur, rabiot and ramsey cant even feed them self.
He’s also offside because when there was a dangerous situation, the opponent defense push their defensive line up and Ronaldo usually walking back like he’s window shopping in Milan.

If he must be sacrificed to rebuild, then so be it.

I support Juventus FC not Ronaldo United.

By the time the battle for the CL QFs rolls around next year, he's going to be 37. Yes, he's Ronaldo, but he's also human and still a man.

We need to call time on this failed experiment (a success marketing wise, but an abject failure in terms of results on the pitch).

The only issue is who is going to pay anything for Ronaldo with his contract up in 2022, and with his insane wages a stumbling block, even for top tier teams.
You sure it's not Dybala FC?

Nono. He has to stay.
Very frustrating when the whole team is passing to Morata all the time. Had to get himself the balls from midfield. This is a scandal
See this is the problem, you want to keep him just for the sake of it

Can he help? Sure he can, but not as things stands when you need to rebuild

Keeping a 36 year Ronaldo with his insane wage means you just keep delaying a renewal of your squad, getting rid of his yearly salary can be spend on other talent/departments where you need it way more - like the midfield

If I was a Juve fan it would ne a no brainer. Ronaldo is nice to have in your current situation, certainly not a need to have

If we offloaded ronaldo ramsey and rabiot that would actually be €88m on salaries, is that correct?

Really is a no brainer considering we are completely fucked financially.

Ronaldo is a legend and no one will deny that. We were lucky to have him.

Will he get that salary in europe elsewhere? What would we get for him?

I don't care about the money and his salary. This guy is a very good player and can play at least as long as Ibrakadabra.

Sell 10-12 players who are useless and save some wages but releasing Ronaldo would be very naive.

We need ~30m in order to not record a loss, and the buying club also gets his salary. It’s a big investment during this time for any club. Usually you’d consider the MLS as a logical step, do they have the money there to finance him?

As someone rightly pointed out, I don't think there's any club right now that would pay the required €30M transfer fee and his €30M wages so I think he's definitely sticking around for another year.

If we have to look at the positives this season, our front trio of Chiesa-Ronaldo-Morata have been one of our brighter spots so let's stick with that for another year atleast.

But absolutely no to selling Ronaldo if we can't get a prolific goalscorer. His overall gameplay is eroding quickly but his numbers don't lie. He's still a guarantee to give you 30 goals a season and for that alone he should be kept for another year.

Ronaldo is not worth 10-12 players. At a stretch, he's worth 3 or so, but sacrificing 10-12 players to accommodate one Ronaldo is suicidal. Who are you going to have come off the bench then?

I'm sure if a big market team in the US put together a package the MLS would support them in any way to bring a player like Ronaldo to the league.

We won't get a penny in transfer fees for him, of course...

You have to take a step back and ask yourself, has this transfer been worth it? We have spent 345m on this guy in total. We are penny-pinching in midfield with signings like Ramsey, Rabiot and McKennie because we can’t afford anything better due to Ronaldo’s ludicrous wages. Has all that been worth it for what Ronaldo has given us on the pitch?
Ronaldo is not stopping us from signing anyone.

The summer we bought him we bought Cancelo for a big fee and gave big wages to Can.

Summer after we gave huge wages to Rabiot and Ramsey and signed De Ligt for a huge fee and wages, signed Arthur for huge fee and wages, signed Demiral, Danilo, Chiesa, Morata, McKennie. Signed Khedira, Matuidi and Mario to new contracts and could afford to cut ties with them soon after.

Finances are not the problem. Bad planning and spending money literally everywhere else but midfield is.

You’re fooling yourself if you think that we don’t have financial problems

Every club has some problems because of covid. I am saying we do not have problems as being presented where Ronaldo is supposedly the problem, stopping us from spending, getting better players etc.

Logic behind sacking Allegri was it is easier to fire one coach than change 10-15 players. The only midfielder Allegri coached on this team is Bentancur. Chiellini, Bonucci, Sandro, Ronaldo, Cuadrado, Bernardeschi only other players who were here when Allegri left. That is almost the entire team changed in 2 years. This is not a club with major financial problems.

Liverpool, Chelsea, United, City, Barca and Real are all looking for strikers/top goal scorers next summer. PSG as well in case they sell Mbappe to one of the mentioned teams.

Good luck finding a Ronaldo replacement in that environment that makes up for his goal contribution that we would lose. Look around and name realistic names we could get, it's not pretty.

We need to build around Ronaldo, not sell him. We don''t need boat loads of money to do that, we just need to be smarter in the deals we make. Paratici is the main problem.

Coppa Italia and Serie A play youngsters from bench, try to reach 4th just to secure CL for the next season. Just focus and win the damned CL with Ronaldo.

Build around Ronaldo? He's 37 years old in February FFS! We've had him for three years and our results on the pitch have regressed. We have deteriorated. Facts!

We reached 2 CL Finals without Ronaldo.

You guys are delusional and out of your mind if you think two inconsistent strikers leading the line in Dybala and Morata will suddenly make us a better team.
Sell Ronaldo only if you can get a guarantee in return otherwise there is no point. Better to run down his contract and look for options in 2022.

Selling CR7 without guarantees is similar to sacking Allegri and assigning Sarri. Fuck Sarri!
