Straight swap for that overrated Yank? No, thank you. I mean Pulisic is a good player, but no way should we be considering giving assets for him.
I’d take the next great thing for an over the hill has been. It’s not like we’re winning CL with this team in the next couple years so ronaldo is being wasted.

but imagine pulisic and Dybala, that’s the future. The new Messi-Neymar duo.

Pulusic would be a huge money market move. As an American I dont really want to see it bc Im not sure he would adapt well
I think he’s talented enough to do well anywhere

The next great thing :howler: You really are biased and delusional. He's a good player, but he isn't even going to be a top 30 player, or top 5 in his position, over the next 10 years. You can quote me on this.

messi and debruyne say hello
Messi in a 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5 would probably be the most useless player around. Now we're talking about 11v11 game, where meaning of 1 man is less than it's in 5v5 for example, which then again allows him to jog n walk around. That's far from being the best, if you couldn't even cut in 5v5 anymore, that just proves that you're being carried the 10 other guys on the pitch. KDB in other hand belongs to the conversation of the absolute best of the game, no doubt about it.

I actually watched last 2 Barca games and if tempo was even 20% higher, Messi would be atleast 20m from the ball whole game. He wouldn't get to the attacking third, he would miss the ball going past him in the middlefield left n right and defense, he's never there regardless so irrelevant.

You did read the facts, so you're more educated in the future.
fake facts. Messi would do great in any system, be it 1v1 or 15v15 but that’s not important either way, football is 11v11 and always will be, you can’t judge players on hypotheticals of they’d be if there were more or less

No, you're living in the past. Prime Messi and we're talking about his physical prime would have, but the current version we're talking about nowhere near the false image you're seeing in your mind. It's almost like saying Ronaldinho would still have it, YES he might on everything else but the physical aspect of the game, just like Messi starting to be. At some point you need to realize that others are working way too much for you, is it beneficial for the team anymore to play him for 90mins every game and so on. Of course you can hang around, you can have those 10 players work for you and make your stats look absolute terrific, but what's the price when you clearly can't keep up with the physical requirements of the game anymore? Why don't we bring Brasilian Ronaldo back on our ST, to have him walk around in the box and throwing him 15 balls in a game, he might sneak couple in here and there, but would that make him world class footballer, yet best in the world? If you work as a team, you can make anybody look good as ever, but once again, the price must be paid and the price has been no success in anywhere else than La Liga past 5 years, where most teams are 10% of the budget Barca is working at.

Stop living in a fantasy world.

Yes, exactly. I just can't stand people defending their favourite players till the end, i'v had my GOATS hanging till 40s and i never claimed them to be the best anymore, stop the fanboyism.

Messi has changed his game and become the best playmaker in the world. At this stage of his career he doesn´t have the legs anymore to score on top of creating. Hence why Barca´s results are very dependant on if the also aging Suarez is in form or not.

Cristiano on the other hand is playing for the least chance creating big team in Europe and still lurking up towards 30 goals in a league with very limited space. He used to create in United, and in Real he became a killer in the box. To have to reverse back to both creating for himself and score in Juventus, that is immensely impressive at his age.

In a weird sense, what Messi lacks now is a monster like Cr7 to finish off what he creates, and Cr7 lacks a genius like Messi to create for him. I´d take Cr7 just because he has that mental edge. At the most critical points in his Juve career, he sent us through against Atletico and scored in both games against Ajax. He can´t play offense and defense for this team, so in my eyes he´s delivered for us.

Messi is a lazy bum. That much is true.
A hell of a player, top 2 in the world, but lazy as fuck. People say you have to adapt your team for Ronaldo, while that may be true, it's even more applicable for Messi.
Don't know if it's about being lazy, it's just the physical decline. How he can be lazy if literally plays every single minute, trains what like 8-12 times a week, stays below 10% fat, eats healthy etc. It's probably adviced by the club to keep himself him in 100% recovered when the ball comes, so he could do the magic tricks he has done past +10years. He just ain't that fast anymore, neither can beat the defenders that well. He has always had the advatange of being recovered vs exhausted opponent, it's a big advatange for him but even 100% recovered Messi ain't faster than 25yr old defender anymore, it's just how it is. If Messi was exhausted while trying to be a proper football player and tried to dribble somebody, it would lead to even worse scenario and so on. He prob wants to keep his first steps explosive as possible and training stamina in return, would just do the opposite. Not sure if he even changed his game, it just naturally happened with the physical decline. He realized he can't get past the players that easily anymore, he might have lost some confidence with that as well and now he just comes to middle offer couple 2m passes, then Barca slowly tries to bring ball forward so Messi could jog to the final third and be ready to strike fully recovered with a pass, goal or those little dribbles.
