Watched the highlights. Why is the Fittest Man Alive so poor at finishing? He could have scored 7 goals against Samp.

Can we get him an internship with Pippo Inzaghi? Or Christian Vieri?

You have to do something right to get into position to have that many chances. Obviously it would've been nice if he got a brace or hattrick, but those games will come as he gets used to Pirlo's system and some of the new players on the team.

his typical finishing form for the beginning of the season. the last time he scored on his 1st league game was in '16. he'll be fine.

We won’t be any closer to winning it when Ronaldo leaves if he doesn’t win it while here.
Yes we will if we actually build a balanced team and dont put all eggs in one basket again, like we did with ronaldo. Sad how people tried to sugar coat it with "its ok ronaldo will fix everything", when its obvious that modern football and Champions League requires a well functioning squad in all areas to succeed.

Yep and it's not like he's some super clinical finisher to begin with. About 10% of his shots turn in to goals.
yup, i didn't add it because i thought it is common knowledge. cr's conversion rate was never anything to write home about, especially not on casual occasions. when it comes to crucial matches like a cl knockout or a title decider, that's when he's even more focused.

You can have a star player and still build a balanced squad..

Looks like he picked up a knock with that bandage on his lower right leg.

What is the % for a clinical finisher? 20%, 30%?

If you're hungry for goals, just like forward should be you will always be taking shots that have 5% chance to succeed or even 1%. If you don't take those, you ain't a forward. If your conversion rate is 30%, you never took the shots you could have, which means you will never score many goals as those world class forwards.

For Lewa it was 22% last season. Top strikers usually hover somewhere around 15-20%.
