Man this sucks...

Not because I particurarly mind (extension or, not, he is here, and will stay), but because this totally ruins for the Aprils fools joke I had planned. Knowing lots of Juventini, and some of them being fiercely intense "hatahs" of Molinaro ala Cronios, it would have been the perfect gag to say Moli Moli has gotten 6 years contract extension :D
You cant still come up with a special bonus, a honor plate or smth:angel:

O well, my worst fears, my nightmare, everything i said was true.
CR really intended to keep him from the first place and when he said all those things about Moli,(about being one of our most important players) he really meant that. I knew that, i knew that he will stay, i knew that younger and better players, like DC, will get less changes because of that.
I knew that we wont get any better players, to improve our team and this why i hated Moli so much and wanted to get rid of him asap.
But know, i real plans have been revealed...
and you cant make up any more excuses. We keep Moli as a starter by choice and you love it!

28th of November should be declared as holiday in Turin because of this young brave man, who put a cross on contract (i can bet that his signature is cross because of his greatest strength on football) that will tie him with the club for another 6 glorious years. Shall the third places and quarterfinals in Coppa rain like mercy from skies! :ultra:

don't hate on molinaro ... he is suspect in defense and can not cross ... that's it ...
saying de ceglie is superior is false, because you can not even have the slightest hint on that, because you saw him on that position too few.

de ceglie seems to have a better ball control and can get better crosses than molinaro, that was it.

is de ceglie really better in the defensive part of the game ? no one knows, because he really was not often put to test with us.

i am a bit disappointed that de ceglie was pretty boring when he played on nedveds position, because i thought he would be able to make more crosses, but i have the feeling that the few games he played as left back with us he did involve better in the game and do more crosses then when he played on nedveds position.

you have to remember that molinaro, clumsy as he may be, does and did often help our defense in the last moment where a player seemed to be through our centre backs. his pace and speed did not only against cenit help us make a stop against strikers that already got by legro and chiellini

Sure

"takes out the revolver and shoots Elvin at the head, ending his misery"...

Virtual, we have seen DC at serie B,
but also this year, he has shown more promise, than Molinaro has shown for an entire year (last year)...

Though, i ll be fair and admit that Molinaro has been greatly improved this year,
he is more stable and he implicates more and better.
He has gain experience, confidence and hopefully some skills too.
Having a sub to threaten his position, might have been the reason, or just extended training and a better co-operation with the rest of the players, due to our improved teamwork.

BUT, Moli has really limited skills to work with, he is almost crippled as a football player, he will never grow to be Juve material, at least by the old Juve standards...

molinaro is decent, nothing exceptional. i think de ceglia can develop this year and be our starter LB
anyhow molinaro is a good back up.
you cant deny that when ever he plays he gives everything for juve, true warrior never stops running
if only he could improve his crosses

But I do agree that, it's better if he's tied down with a contract. (He better not get a lot of salary increase). We should never let anyone become a free agent.

honestly i dare to claim that you neither saw enough from de ceglie before he was in juve neither molinaro when he played for siena to make such a statement

actually i saw molinaro do some serious dribbles skills while in training ...
he is not that crappy while in training so i guess if he gets more calm then he would not blast the ball high into the opponents half and play it smart. surely it can by a slow process to get the necessary calmness to not overreact and keep cool, but at least he is not the complete lumberjack you would think, just by watching him in the matches.

sadly i can not provide you with the video because juventustube.com seems to be down or something =/

this is not to say that molinaro is a great oder even good left back ... i just do not think that de ceglie is the solution to our left back problem ... we did not see enough from him for that and the performances in nedveds position where very uninspiring !
