That's a problem of managing expectations though, isn't it?

Granted, nobody would get re-elected saying "this sh*t is gonna last us a few years, so settle in, cowboys" in April 2020. But if you look at past pandemics like the 1918 flu, it would be more realistic than the "two weeks and done" nonsense that people spewed.

Also, it proved a lot of people flunked biology.
Right? Imagine believing that in the first place

Au contraire, fear merchants win elections since the majority of people want to appear intellectually superior, more alert, more delicate to their peers and the covid merchant panders to that need, cultivates an atmosphere in which the hysterical majority can project a high morale image of themselves onto everybody, unasked.

COVID measures acceptance is where the High IQ-Low IQ alliance theory proves itself again. High IQ demographics (your Ted Kaczynski, your Lgor) and low IQ demographics (your basketball americans) are outnumbered by midwits (your ALC)

Woot, there it is: 2024

Its weird regularly watching things that only 2-3 years ago were allegedly schizo tier conspiracy theories become reality.

I wonder if you can get a BLM or LGBTQ flag colored chip.
Yeah, but there were freaks 10 years ago who were embedding RFID chips under their skin to open doors and ID themselves. The most perverse part is these freaks believe they are leaning into the future with that crap.

It’s old tech they put in dogs for when they get lost, you’d be stupid to get it as a human.

But that's a conspiracy theory :lol2: and plus, there's nothing wrong with that.
Ummm. A random company in Sweden planning to market a vaccine record microchip implant means the conspiracy theorists are right that we’ve all been secretly implanted with tracking microchips when we got vaccinated? Because that’s what the conspiracy theory is. Y’all “red pill” folx are gullible as fuck. :shifty:

Nope. Of course vaccines don't have a chip, that's BS. It's just funny how plenty of so called conspiracy theories simply do become a reality and nobody says a word.

Yes, and 1 year ago 3rd&4th vaccination shots *planned by a random company in NY* were a conspiracy theory :agree:

Sure, this I can get on board with. I mean, as @ALC said, we’ve had this technology forever. I’m getting my new puppy a microchip implant so she can be found if she were to wander off/get lost/stolen some day. It would be weird as fuck to get this implanted as a human. But humans are weird af and I can imagine over the next couple decades more and more people will willingly jump on board such nonsense because “convenience”. And if that’s what they are going for, good for them, I guess?

Some people going to be living more in the “metaverse” than reality soon enough. The amount of weird fucks wasting time in shit like Sims and animal crossing already, and VR junk.

You ever read Baudrillard? Simulacra and Simulation. We are quickly arriving there. Some people hardly exist in tangible day to day world already. It’s just gonna get worse. And the world will call it progress.

What? There was talk from the very beginning of flu-season type boosters… why you making things up lgor? Doesn’t mean they aren’t BS, but they certainly weren’t randomly spring upon everyone. There was always talk of this becoming endemic, with seasonal booster to keep IFR low. Mandating a booster is certainly BS though
