In regards to covid, there’s treatments, vaccines, lockdowns/restrictions. not much new stuff. so every time a variant emerges the argument stays the same. it’s like having the same dinner conversation every few months
Well there was a lot of expectation that the restrictions and vaccines would be effective in bringing us back to "normalcy". I mean, I don't think many thought we would still be where we are today.

Sounds like there’s massive omicron community spread in NYC
And I heard a huge chunk of that were wankers bringing Covid back from Art Basel Miami. :seven:

im thinking of going to Mexico or Colombia
Those variants aren't gonna spread themselves.

If you have 13, 14 players out because of corona it would be ridiculous to play.
Benfica-Belenenses, Nov 27 yo... already happening.

That's a problem of managing expectations though, isn't it?

Granted, nobody would get re-elected saying "this sh*t is gonna last us a few years, so settle in, cowboys" in April 2020. But if you look at past pandemics like the 1918 flu, it would be more realistic than the "two weeks and done" nonsense that people spewed.

Also, it proved a lot of people flunked biology.
