- This was 4th Coppa Italia win in a row for Pandev. He won it in 2009 with Lazio, in 2010 and 2011 with Inter and in 2012 with Napoli

- Hamsik scored his 6th goal against us. Nobody scored more against Juve post Calciopoli.

- The other players who scored a lot against Juve after Calciopoli are Cavani (5), Di Vaio (5), Pandev (4), Pellissier (4) and Giovinco (4).

And people here like him. He is a fucking ugly rat and I hope he has a career ending injury.

We came out arrogant. You could tell straight away how easily we let Napoli come at us. We weren't winning the usual 50-50 balls like we are so used to seeing and most importantly at Half time the ball possession was in Napoli's favor...that hasn't happened since I don't recall when.

We just weren't hungry enough, maybe the emotions got to us with it being DP's last game.

Regardless:

1.) Wrong Formation
2.) Arrogance.

We just didn't deserve it and we suffered. As Dominic said...Much needed reality check.

Lesson learned Conte. Start with your best Starting 11 when a trophy is on the line. Simple as that. Sentimental actions need to be put aside and the best should be fielded. We had a lot of fans show up to see Borriello and Esti play in a Cup final? Pfft. I love Conte for what he did this year but yesterday was a huge fuckup.

My Suggested Line-Up for the Final:

Buffon

Licht - Barzagli - Bonucci - De Ceglie

Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio

Pepe - Matri - Vucinic

Caceres for Licht. After '60.
Del Piero for Matri after '60.

I don't know if yuo guys remember - but the last time we played Napoli we started with a 3-5-2 and we were struggling badly until we switched to a 4-3-3 in the second half and it made a huge difference. Napoli absolutely expected us to use a 3-5-2. We should have started with a 4-3-3.

I think Caceres has been a great addition for us, provided a great alternative to Licht -- but he shouldn't have played on the left, he's not used to it and doesn't work there. He is supposed to play right-back, or center-back. Another bizzare choice/decision by Conte. De Ceglie should have went left-back - we could have used De Ceglie's crosses. if he wasn't fit, then put in Giac. Then have ADP come in for Matri at the 60 min mark to bring Napoli havok just when Napoli have tired themselves out and are beginning to slow down.

starting Borriello was just embarassing. I Think Conte's complex with trying to 'revitalize' Borriello and show that he's some kind of magician has cost us a final. I love Conte, and want no other coach, but he really proved that he needs a reality check and also has much room for improvement. This was a final we should have won, not only as a major statement for the club and prospective recruits, but for all the long-suffering Juve fans, as well as Del Piero deserved this. He deserved a better starting line-up yesterday.

Poor performance.

Bad decision by Conte to start Borriello and The Waterboy which guaranteed next to no movement.

Also didn't like starting Storari. Not starting your best team in a final sends out the wrong message.

Team generally lacked intensity - not particularly surprising having just won the title - and the lack of movement meant the game was quite reminiscent of some of the early 3-5-2 games this season.

The game was pretty flat for the most part and just came down to one terrible decision from Storari, while Napoli remained pretty solid.

Still, I don't grudge Napoli the win. The clearly wanted it more and they deserve something for their good play over the last couple of years.

Inler was the best player on the park.
