Thank you Ranieri, thank you for all the shit you did in the club, I wish you the best . I hope you'll be appointed as Torino boss and take them to new heights - Serie C winners.

Although, the main reason for Juventus "success" is that naughty schoolboy Secco, you also took part in the Juve destuc...revolution and you never tried to question Secco brilliant deals...and that was your biggest mistake.

It is normal when you have actually achieved those goals and objectives. He won nothing, and therefore should just get his compensation and walk away.

It's like getting fired from your job for not hitting the targets, and achieving the goals and objectives that were set forth in your contract, and then demanding the payment of your compensation in full in addition to all the bonuses that you perceive you are owed. It would never happen in the corporate world!

it looks like that you don't know much about business and how it works unfortunately.

If one of the goals was securing CL place, than at the time he was sacked we were in CL, so automatically it means that he DID achieve that. If another goal was to pass group stages or to play in semis of Italian cup, than he also achieve that..

So legally he is right and no one can take that from him. Just look at Mancinni's contract as another example.

Are you still defending him? how long will this last?

He's entitled to every penny he has been promised on the basis of goals set, just like any other job... If he hasn't achieved the goals set by the management, he gets nothing... If he has achieved them, he gets the bonus set by the management at the time of agreeing the contract... So there's no shame in pinching every penny you were promised, I'd have done it, 90% of this forum would do it... and Ranieri can do it too...
So in conclusion, I'm a Ranieri and 90% of the forum is a Ranieri:D

My dear Amaurisimo, I studied business in college, and have been in the corporate world for a few years, and even witnessed people losing their jobs.

I am not debating that he should be paid compensation, as we were the ones who decided to terminate his contract. However, my friend who was recently laid off got 6 months compensation (no bonuses, nothing else). Ranieri should just get what he is owed, which is probably his salary for the final year on his contract. Any other performance related bonuses should have already been paid out, prior to the begining of this season, as it is based on last year's performnace. As for the current season, I don't believe he should be rewarded for anything, as he hasn't accomplished what he was meant to achieve.

If his objective was achieving 2nd place he could argue that he wasn't given the chance to finish the season (mathematically we can still finish 2nd)... If that's the case then he may be entitled to compensation... Or if clearing the group stages of the CL was an objective then he's entitled to compensation... We (at least I) aren't aware of the goals set by the management at the beginning of the season, and hence discussion on this topic is useless...

It is nothing to do with defending someone or not, it is about right and wrong

you are spot on Iceman

I sincerely hope the management aren't stupid to the extent that they could allow themselves to get owned by Ranieri :shifty:
well, you always say how our management is stupid. So what can you expect from them.

In regards to Ranieri, he has every right to ask for anything what is written in contract, just like when he could get money from Chelsea if he would be without job, but he instead got new offer with Valencia, and did not get any money...
