Its your opinion, not gonna argue that Pogba has contributed alot and has made the difference, marchisio however was consistently preforming this season. Had we had pirlo, it would have been another story.

Pogba vs. Marchisio this season is basically consistency vs. peak quality. There are more than enough arguments for either side.

and still more influential and more important, if we had to only have one of marchisio or pogba for the rest of the season, it's pretty clear who we would pick.
:agree:

The sheer number of uninspired draws Pogba has turned into wins with his brilliance makes this argument no-contest really at this point.

Now if Marchisio were to play a starring role against Monaco, and turn in two performances like yesterday, perhaps that would turn the argument around a little, but more so because Pogba is out injured and does not have the chance to shine himself.

And Pogba has been nowhere near as inconsistent as people are making him out to be. He's rarely had a match where he doesn't either turn up eventually with brilliant offensive contributions, or if that isn't happen, with a dominant display of tackling and ball-winning in the midfield.

What people fail to realize is that Pogba carried us on his own on many occasions, despite playing 'bad' sometimes. He alone brought us many points and made the difference when the rest of the team was sleeping. It's him and Tevez as our only players who does that and the only difference is that Tevez had more quality performances this season.

Morata seems to be a third player who can do this, but very inconsistently at this point. He's won us a few games that would have been draws with his skill, and hopefully will start to do so more regularly.

Is it certain that Pogs will miss both Monaco matches?
I'd say so. A recovery that fast would be almost unprecedented from the injury he has. He really should be back for the first leg of the Semis if all goes smoothly. I'd say it would be ridiculous to risk him any time before that anyways, as we really don't need him in the league, and there's no way he's match fit for Monaco.

Marchisio has been probably our second most important and influential player on this team. Id even argue our most important but Tevez has been outstanding.
without doubt marchisio is an ok player but pogba scores 7 goals and assisted six times for his teammates and with tevez in this season scoring 15 goals, assisting 7 for his teammates. what's about marchisio statistic?

why does one player have to be more important than others? even if it true, football is a team sport.

both marchisio and pogba are important and vital players that conribtue in their own way, as do the other players in the squad.
