Yeah they are very good at keeping top players. Someone like Lewandowski should have been spearheading the Madrid attack a long time ago and yet they somehow kept him. Alaba is also another one that I am surprised havent been lured away.

Of course, I realize we are limited by our spending power, but I also look at Bayern and I want to deploy a model similar to theirs. They don't overspend, manage to maintain their key performers/stars, and still remain competitive. Of course it'd be great if Serie A explodes like the EPL and we end up having 200-300 million to spend every summer (Inter can then become like Arsenal ), but until that day comes, if it ever does, we should be looking to Bayern as an example.

Bayern is the model to look at. I agree. However, at this point in time they have far higher revenue as they didn't go through a Calciopoli just a decade ago. And when was the last time we had the best players in Serie A running down their contracts to come here on a free transfer? Or rival Serie A teams willingly selling us their best players. Us buying a massively overpriced Higuain and cheap Pjanic on buyouts has caused Serie A teams to put only foreign team buyout clauses. The animosity and vitriol towards Juventus in serie a makes it tough to buy our compeititors top players.

I think fans are too critical of this team's form. Think about it, Juve could line up against Tottenham with Sandro, Costa, and a half fit Dybala up top. Essentially Juve would barely have any attacking threat in a match they need to score in.

Spurs are a good team, but they are also lucky to not have lost big in Turin against a Juve that have tons of important injuries. They are at home going against a team missing Higuain, Mandzukic, Cuadrado, and Bernardeschi with a Dybala that just got back. If Spurs blow this, they will have choked.

Playing an attacking style of football doesnt necessarily means playing like City and PSG.. We can impose our type of style which is more defensive than City and PSG but still able to put pressure. For example Juve Dortmund 3-0 - We attacked but not in a PSG/City style...
When we beat Real Madrid 3-1 (when they had Zidane in their team) we werent City like yet we attacked.
We can attack in a more conservative way and never forget about defending - Actually this could be our best way as IMO we play at our best when taking this approach

I didn't bring up City and PSG. I was responding to someone else saying we should be more like them. And adding to ludicrous City/PSG argument, we under Agnelli have been far more successful than City and PSG while spending far less. Cuckoldry level of self-deprecation combined with mental imp level "we should all-out attack" fanboyism.

We didn't play attacking footy in Dortmund 3-0. We counter-attacked.

That Juve was a diff team. We can use players like Thuram, Zambrotta, Davids now. That Real was soft in midfield and overall light in mid/def. A physical, balanced/pressing game was the way to go. Was far from gung-ho attacking.

This season, we've been extra defensive because our midfield and defense lack balance otherwise. We tried playing a more expansive game at the start of the season but sucked. Not sure why you'd wanna go back to that.

There have been specific mistakes in certain games....like Inter, Tot'num, Lazio. Focus on the specific mistakes instead of blaming everything on a macro level.

Winning the CL ugly wont make a big difference to our revenue standing. We need what ronaldinho did to barca. The entire world tuned in to see him. Their whole marketing was around him and the football style they used put him at the center of everything. If we win the CL by some miracle playing our current style, our revenue level will remain low just like it was for Inter.

I just want to see Buffon to walk away with the trophy, revenue can come the next time.

to those people that talks about revenue and marketing, I have to say I half-agree with you. Football is show business end of the day.

But, I am fine if we win ugly. But at least be shameless about it and brag about it. We should be entertaining off the pitch, to make up for our lack of entertainment on it.

I want to see Dybala deliver conference like that. "F all you haters, the only reason we don't even play entertaining football is cus our opponents are too bloody easy.
