So, away to Tottenham huh?

I hope we play 3-5-2 :snoop:
3-5-2 with attacking wingers.

--------------------Mandzu
---------------------Dybala
------------Matuidi----Khedira
Sandro-----------Pjanic-------Costa
-----Chiellini--Benatia--Rugani

The only thing that changes between this 3-5-2 and a 4-3-3 is Rugani in place of MDS. I prefer to Rugani in this form.

Had Higuain, Dybala, Cuadrado, and Berna been healthy this attacking 3-5-2/4-3-3 could have been awesome in CL.

What statistics? You simply can't use statistic as an argument without showing any.

Secondly you didn't get the point of my post; correlation does not imply causation.
I'm gonna try and find some stats for you, but I was mainly referring to the nature of the teams that won the competition over the past decade and how they favor a more attacking approach and score more goals.

Yes, I do realize correlation doesn't imply causation, and defensive minded teams in Chelsea and Inter :yuck: :inter: have won the competition with a more conservative approach. Nonetheless, deploying a more attacking approach is likely to yield better results.

I didn't leave them out conveniently, I assumed you'd assume what I'd assumed :D - that rich clubs have better quality teams and can afford to play attacking football, because they have the upper hand. clubs like Monaco and Arsenal can play all the attacking footie they want, when they come up against better equipped teams doing the same thing they're doing, they'll eventually go out. you can say we're Juventus all you want, but sadly we're around 8-10 when talking finances, hopefully we win that CL, ride that popularity wave like crazy and return to being TOP 3 as it was in 2005/06.
Winning the CL ugly wont make a big difference to our revenue standing. We need what ronaldinho did to barca. The entire world tuned in to see him. Their whole marketing was around him and the football style they used put him at the center of everything. If we win the CL by some miracle playing our current style, our revenue level will remain low just like it was for Inter.

Seems our front three for the game is confirmed through this video :baus:
Going by form, i wouldn't mind. But the lack of impact subs is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth, considering this could easily go to extra time. If we start all of Dybala, Costa and Alex Sandro, we only have Higgy and Mandzu as attacking subs, not quite the quick legs you need to take advantage of tired fullbacks.

We better win after 90 minutes if we start those three.

Literally nobody remember's Inter's CL win

Nothing beats winning with style

I would be happy if we could just counter attack if we are going to put on defensive displays
