Yes, I wasn't criticizing your idolisation of DP (or rather, godisation). While I do find it very funny how you guys think he alone can bring you back into this tie, it's irrelevant. All I'm saying is that just because this is a Juve forum, it doesn't mean an Arsenal fan can't come on here and debate a bit and *gasp* DISAGREE (OMGOMGOMG) with some of you guy's opinions. These discussions started out fairly well and slowly deteriorated due to bad posting (from both sides). I know that on one of our forums such as Arsenal Mania, a Juve fan wouldn't be banned quite simply because he was disagreeing with the Arsenal supporters and that if an Arsenal fan was insulting a Juve fan past an acceptable point, measures would be taken against the said Arsenal fan.

Arsenal FC have confirmed that midfielder Cesc Fabregas and full-back Emmanuel Eboué "will be travelling" to Turin for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg, but did not say whether the duo would be fit to face Juventus.

Both players were injured during Saturday's 5-0 English Premiership defeat of Aston Villa FC, with Eboué picking up a groin injury and Fabregas taking a blow to his foot. Having initially been rated by manager Arsène Wenger at 60-40 to play in Italy, the influential pair "have recovered sufficiently to take their place in the travelling party". Arsenal won the first leg 2-0 at Highbury.

Eire - there arent that many arsenal fans here on the wind up to be honest. i would not say a torid time at highbury they have been superb on the road a bit dodgy at times, but not the same pressure on their minds if the lose its only 3 points this time its a Cl semi final at stake an early goal for juve could cause a lot of problems.

if juve are 1-0 at half time i will be delighted and imo its not a totally out of this world

I'm not so sure. I think players like Senderos and Reyes have really struggled with confidence this year; even Henry to an extent. We sold our captain and were losing to poor teams and heads were dropping. I'd say that experience has toughened them up and made the team pull together.

Ok Here's a objective Arsenal fan talking.

Some people here have said certain things just to counter some immature Arse fans.

These are the arguments:

ARSE FAN SAYS: Toure is the best defender in the world.

JUVE FAN SAYS: He is known only after Juve game.

My opinion is that you should consider the circumstances in which he has been playing. We have played 23 different defensive combinations(Taken from the Observer). Even then we have the 3rd best defense in the league.

Add to that the shit form of Campbell(he let in even 2 in one game against west ham) and Senderos(one mistake every game). Also Gilberto for most part of the season kept giving the ball away(which is bad for defensive mid).

He is not the best in the world right now but he has the potential to become the best.


ARSE FAN SAYS: Wenger is the best manager in the world.

JUVE FAN SAYS: He is alright.Mourinho is better.

Here I tend to agree more with Juve fan but Mourinho is not better. I believe Wenger is not perfect and he is not exactly the manager for winning trophies.
He has done OK with the available resources but I think if he adopts more defensive tactics we can win the league more often.

ARSE FAN SAYS: We are the greatest.

JUVE FAN SAYS: You are shit.

Not a clever answer but I think we can be the greatest provided we don't rest on our laurels. For example if we lose to Juve on wednesday then all this hype would come to nought. So it is better to build on our success(which we haven't done till now).


I also have to say I do believe Capello is a good manager for the amount of trophies he has won and that is something I DO admire. I think last week was just one of his off-days and I think Wenger has to be very careful of taking Capello lightly.

I think you have to moderate your views and look at things objectively because there are a few sensible Arsenal fans around here.

a valid point but confidence is ficle and tempoary and in such young players it does not take much to sow the seeds of doubt.

although there is of course a number of experienced players in the side as well, im just looking for the positives from a juve point of view.

I personally see myself as fairly objective and unbiased (as far as a fan can be) but why do you expect every single Arsenal fan to be the same as I? Fans, by definition are biased, fickle, subjective, you name it. Most of your fans aren't any more objective when speaking about your team than Mourinho is when criticizing the referees in his games. Even if some of the comments we make can be considered as some to be stupid, you must take into consideration the fact that every one of us is biased one way or another, that Arsenal fans know a great deal more about their team than a Juve fan does and that hey, it's just their opinion, it's not as if it's written in stone and you can debate it, as long as you do so in a respectful manner. No need to go all Azzurri on us.

And if you want to look at his performance from january onwards yeah his been good especially as fair bit of that time was spent in the ACN. Before january not going too far back the match against newcastle and the match against wigan where although arsenal won 3-2. Both goals conceded by arsenal had kolo written all over it.

If you actually read the context properly you would see that we aint all poor in ever CL match but yes we were awful against you. There are certain matches where we have played good and thats why i pointed out at the group stages. Jeez. :faq1:

You played shit vs. Bayern in one game (without Vieira, with Giannicheda) and you played well vs. Bayern in one game (with Vieira, without Giannicheda). The other games were against shit teams so are even less relevant.

The point being we can play good be it against whoever. Club brugge were a decent side and no doubt you had the arguably most easiest of group. As for the bayern game, we wernt have as bad as the way we played against you, which shows we aint consistently shit!.

Let's say for a sec the Bayern games are relevant. Going by them, you were supposed to win with Vieira and lose without him but you lost without him and going by the Bayern game, you'll lose when playing with Giannicheda.

we have won many matches without viera this season, so you point above doesnt make no sense and certainly cannot be applied to the context. Also last season we won many CL games without viera, simply because we never had him, so stop coming out with garbage.

Zambrotta was your best player vs. us and yet Eboue still managed to keep him quiet bar one or two crosses. When a player plays amazingly well three games in a row you can say he might be a flop or he might be a developing talent or he might be overrated.

Yes he was our best player, but even he didnt play at his best. Notice that when one player plays good and the other doesnt its obvious he cant always come up and cross especially as he didnt even get any help from mutu. Also zambrotta was a left back to come up and cause some problems for eboue says enough. One things for sure we never saw eboue coming that often up against us simply because there was a fear amongst arsenal that if he did leave his position they would concede.
