hey guys im new in this forum but i agree with most people that are sayin we should not worry about arsenal players that much because we r the ones who need to score not them so its better for us to focus on scoring in the opening 15-20 mins then we will c wat arsenal can do. forza JUVE

my line up:

Zambie Puma Neddy Chielini

I personally think we'll use the same formation like we did this time last season against Liverpool. 3-5-2.

Wing-backs, with neddy behind the strikers. always shooting from distance.

if i were capello i would throw on a useless player at the las few mins, den i will ask him to break henry's leg or wadeva he can do injure henry for long time. that player will get a red card, but so wad, it is closin moment in da game and i will not b needing him in da second leg. AND last but not least, NO NEHRY for second leg
this is not juve style.. :disagree:

i agree. we need zambrotta as wing, nedved behind the strikers and del piero and trez up front. but who should play right wing? maybe olivera can surprize...i guess capello don't have the balls to do that..

Nedved on the right, then!
And Del Piero behind the strikers.
That kind of lineup would look awesome to me..

Buffon
Kovac Thuram Cannavaro
Nedved Emo Giannichedda Zambrotta
Del Piero
Trezeguet Ibrahimovic

If anyone can do anything at Arsenal to save Juve it is going to be Del Piero..
Lets hope he is fit to play + Cap actually uses him.

Zambrotta will play on the right, chiellini on the left wingback. A battered 50% Del-Piero will show more passion than a 100% fit zlatan these days. we shall see. anyone know whats going on with DP? is he ok?

After not seeing olivera starting the treviso match, I simply believe his got no chance to play against arsenal and even if he did play he aint got the match fitness.

Below is what I believe would be suitable to help our chances in progressing.

---------Buffon---------
-Thuram- Cana- Balza-
--- Emerson- Gianni--
Zambro----------- Chillini
----------Nedved----------
------Treze---Zala------

If dp does make it then it will have to change.

Also I believe that the fomation may have to change from time to time as we cant simply stick to one to break down a possibly stubborn arsenal. I would start off with the formation as shown above and then change the shape to a 4-4-2 flat diamond and at times a 4-3-3 or whatever without too much of a need to use the subs. Below are some of my reasons in choosing the players.

Buffon - No reason needed.

Thurram - Reason almost as above, however he will be playing on the right so realistically he will have to play solid cover zambro and keep an eye on henry as he uses the left very often.

Cana - The ideal centre back, should cover for thurram in his quest of keeping henrys left flank runs and anything else that goes at him.

Balza - His better at defending than chiellini and therefore I would say he deserves left back. If needed balza can also do some suprise run ups with gianni covering. Alternatively Kovac could take this position a little unsure yet.

Gianni - played as a defender, has more match fitness than blasi I assume and main task is to cover defenders and handle gilberto/fabregas.

Emerson - A similar task to gianni, get in the nitty gritty and quickly pass to nedved or wingers.

Zambro - Not ideally preferred on the right, but in my eyes the only player to use on the right is him, Very versatile and doesnt lack determination.

Chiellini - Has been good/decent going up on the left flank, can cover if problems arise and maybe some interchanges between him and balza.

Nedved - Centre is ideal for him, simple as that.

Trezeguet - Hot shot striker (our only realistic hope)

Zala - Physical presence (Has a better chance in scoring than Zlatan).

As said before if dp does make it then heck most of the above will have to be scrapped. And I think that nedved will simply take chillinis place with dp playing behind treze and zala.

If Balzaretti plays we are soooo doomed. They guy is slower than a snail. he simply shouldnt start against Arsenal. Chiellini can at least deliver a cross.

good formation with the 3-5-2, the problem with it is that neddy would need to constantly go back and defend henry or reyes and if he doesnt we will have a problem cuz given the last match Kovac cant defend against Borriello how can he defend against henry and reyes

for this we r going to need to put chiellini on the left and zambro on the right or just switch to 4-4-2 with zambro on the right, but it wont be fair to mutu who had a very good game against trevisio on the wing.

I really hope alex is back at least to play 45 mins

As we are in need of getting a few goals balza can attack right? its always nice having defenders who can surge forward on the rare occasions. TBH I cant see any other choices which could compliment our chances. I dont feel chillini should go left back, if he does then mutu should step left wing. But to be honest if he faces eboue again then i sense deja vu , thats why I feel its a fresh approach and could work.

well nedved going back to defend? you can definetly count on that I can assure if theres one person who should be fired up for the match it will certainly be nedved. Yes he aint physically strong but his presence in the middle would make a better difference, especially if dp aint available.

that wasnt even the remotliest racist, unfortunatly i have to suffer in the country full or ignorance. i have faith in capello and the team if you dont? you know you can go and join the self pity inter milan
You dont think using a person's nationality and an offensive word after is racist? You have to sufeer in a country full of ignorance? Am I to infer that you are from another country but reside in England? Well Americans do have a great saying love it or leave it. If you do not lik England , nothing is stopping ya from going back to yours is there? You can have all the faith in the world with Capello, thatsa your perogative but you have no standing to tellme who to support as youi have said nothing to let me think you know anything about anything. Calling yourself badass in a football forum says it all really.
Anyways getting back to more important stuff, even if i have no trust in Capello at all as a manager, as someone rightfully said he is a troubleshooter and thats about it, i still want this team to go further this year and for me wednesday is his last chance saloon for me
I see he played the full team against bottom side Treviso and still came up with a 0-0 draw, i have not gone to that thread yet but i am pretty sure some idiots will be saying that at least Milan lost to Lecce. That is not the point, it is all about us, we have a very important game against Arsenal and we are still putting out a full team against Treviso, its quite appalling.
For me on wednedsay definitely we have to ditch 4-4-2 thats for sure, id prefer Balzaretti and Chiellini to play as full backs, Emerson to sit in front of the defence with Zambrotta as right midfield, Nedved in the centre of midfield with Mutu and Zlatan taking turns in helping out in midfield and supporting Trez and hopefully Dp coming on at some stage to do something. Our season is defined on wednesday as lets face it Milan and Inter are taking turns in handing us the title

I know Olivera is got no match fitness what so ever...whose fault is that by the way?!
But still, I'm intriged by him playing. Maybe he could be the wild card that make us go through. I'm never gonna find that out anyway so it's just a thought.
