Juventus go into their champions league game against Arsenal knowing that they need to score three goals to complete a turn around for only the second time by that scoreline in their history against an English side.

This feat however is not helped by the fact that Juventus now boast the record of the most offsides in the Champions League. Indeed, Italian teams head the top five.

With Udinese eliminated, Vincenzo Iaquinta has no other chances to add to his tally of twelve.

Alberto Gilardino, however may get the chance to continue with his tally of twelve offside flags thusfar after AC Milan left it till late to beat Lyon 3-1.

Then we come to the champions league big sinners.

First up, and in third place is Juventus hero, Alessandro Del Piero, with thirteen offside counts to his name, somewhat surprising given his limited playing time this season.

In runner's up position is French national team striker, David Trezeguet with one better for fourteen offside counts on his account.

But both Juventus strikers pale into comparison to the king of the offside sinners.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic with an infamous twenty-four count of offsides in one champions league competiton.

All of the top three offside sinners will get further chances to add to their records against an Arsenal side, boasting the meanest defence in europe.

The young gunners of Arsenal have already equalled AC Milan's great team record of seven consecutive clean sheets. A feat that is highly impressive due to the pletohra of injuries to their defence most notably and given the attacking mantra of the team and it's manager fuses the stats in stark reality.

Tonight.

One of europe's most misfiring attacks come up against europe's most effective defensive lineups.

yeah, well i guess thats the problem. some leagues have more good teams, others not. imo seria a should have 5 teams in CL looking how things go this season. viola/roma are fighting for that last spot and who ever loose it, well it looks a bit harsh to me.

i dont know how they should do the system but something like that: winner gets automatically to groupstage, and then all other 4 will fight and who wins, will get to groupstage, who not, nothing.

actually i need more time to think what really would be a perfect system, as i said from seria a 5 teams really should be there in CL, but well can we have 5 teams from france or england? all respect to french clubs but then we might see easy wins for some teams if for example viola plays with lens or who ever is in there.

thats the problem here, some leagues have more quality sides then others.
hm, actually they should do the system so, that 2 of 4 qualify for CL and other 2 go to uefa cup then.

lets say

1.juventus
2.milan
3.roma
4.fiorentina
5.inter

1.chelsea
2.arsenal
3.liverpool
4-man utd
5-totenham

1.barcelona
2.valencia
3.real madrid
4.villareal
5.depor

1.bayern
2.shalcke
3.leverkusen
4.hamburg
5.bremen

draw, first 2 will advance in to next stage of CL and other 2 will go to uefa cup
A
hamburg
liverpool
depor
roma

B
bremen
arsenal
villareal
milan

C
leverkusen
man utd
valencia
inter

D
shalcke
totenham
real madrid
fiorentina

and then when next draw will be made, the league winners of every league will be put in the draw as well. and draws will go something like this for CL:

juventus
chelsea
barcelona
bayern

liverpool
roma
villareal
milan
man utd
valencia
shalcke
fiorentina

now either make just two pairs draw like for example

1. chelsea-roma
2. bayern-fiorentina
3. shalcke-man utd
4. valencia-liverpool
5. juventus-villareal
6. milan-barcelona

and who will win, another draw will be made

----

or make another groups like 3 groups with 4 teams where the first two will go on,
something like this:

juventus
liverpool
valencia
fiorentina

chelsea
roma
manutd
barcelona

milan
bayern
shalcke
villareal

--

:p very long and complicated analyse. its just that i like CL and actually as many matches there will be, that more interesting it will be imo.

The uefa changed the 2nd group stages cause many teams were unable to keep on this with huge amount of games in league and europe

watever happens zlatan must not take a penalty!!!
well, if we go to penaltys, then you know some good scorying players are missing, like camo and well even patrick vieira, remember he scored the winner in fa cup final last season, and ofcourse dp, so cap wouldnt have much other choise. he cant use a player who hasnt played almoust at all(olivera/pes), or you would risc?

actually a penaltyshootout would be great, but only if we win it ;) havent seen penaltys for a while now.
