So Chiellini and De Ligt have been training and looking better by the day. In prematch buildup Pirlo's also hinted Artur could start tomorrow even though he's not at 100%

Pirlo: "We have to play a very technical game and we will face a compact team with two very narrow lines and there will be little space and little time to think. It will take a lot of technique and make little mistakes trying to widen them and have a lot of patience because we will not have to be in a hurry to break through immediately. It will take the patience to be able to turn them from one side to the other. We will have to be very lucid to manage the match. In my opinion, I don't think I can continue to work and I know what my project and that of the club are. It's a decisive match for the Champions League."

no bernadeschi thank fuck, shame bumucci is back.
Pre-match conference.

Pirlo: "I spoke with Bernardeschi this summer and I proposed to him the idea of making him play as a left-back, which I think can do very well. He has power for physical strength and for running because coming from behind he can exploit his skills by having even fewer tasks in one-on-one starting from a standing position. I thought it would also benefit his career. He gave me his availability even though there was little time to work. Now that he has made up his mind that he can do it and he did it well so we will continue along this line. Tomorrow he has the possibility of being able to play from the start like others"

he also has powers and strength to fuck things up beyond any measurable beliefs, he has absolutely no positional sense to play LB let alone in attack, he's clumsy and was somewhat lucky to be playing against a tiring SMS at the weekend who played him onside and was miles away from any other Juve defender to played the offside trap, also that clumsy attempt to rugby tackle SMS has to be compared to the dry humping he tried to give Fati against Barcelona in the first group meeting.

I don't know why suddenly he's flavour of the month, clearly people are quick to forget how shit he actually is. I'd sell him ASAP before he finds his old form again.

At least Zambrotta had intelligence and positional sense in his locker before he converted to full back.

Easy win for us. They will get run over in the second half badly.
4-1 for us. Morata and CR7 both on score sheet. Also expecting Chiesa and Cuad shit on their full backs.
with Arthur coming back I would gladly invite them press us and get fucked on counters.

Expecting more long balls in this one

The problem is that Porto are very good at parking the bus. The first leg went disastrously because the early goals allow them to park it and play their game. In this one they are already coming an advantage so it will be the same.

Dybala and Cuadrado are the best players to break a parked defense so it's a shame that Dybala is still missing.

Ronaldo, Morata, and Chiesa, even if this should not be the style of game for them to thrive, are so clutch that they make me really hopeful anyway.

I see Porto has lost only 1 away match in the CL (3-1 vs City) and only 1 league match. The team needs to be super focused the whole match. No silly penalties from Demiral, no silly mistakes from Bentancur and Kulu this time around.
Porto seems to press initially and once/if you go past their press, they drop deep.

Don't see that changing, but I expect us to show more common sense this time and play more long balls instead of trying to escape their press with those players. Arthur and Morata should make a huge difference.

I think it will be:

Szczesny
Cuadrado Bonucci Demiral Sandro
McKennie Rabiot
Chiesa Ramsey Ronaldo
Morata

With this lineup and formation, we should be able to get the job done.
Ah yes, the Ronaldo doing a Mandzukic in a 4231 suggestion :touched:

I think it’s more likely Ramsey starts than McKennie, just because McKennie isn’t 100%. Ramsey doesn’t have 90 minutes in his bitch ass legs anyway, so McKennie can come on in the second half.

Im not necessarily against but it’s a worthy discussion
Of course, the club is in dire need of thinning out the wage bill so all the high earners except for De Ligt can't feel 100% safe IMO.

It's definitely down to CR7 vs Dybala here and I have a feeling it will be Dybala that leaves. First because he's easier to sell, second because he barely featured this season.

Selling CR7 would leave a huge hole in the attack but also could give a very good opportunity to buy more quality players for midfield. So a lesser attacker + better midfield could give us better results and more sustainable wage bill. In the end we're talking about Ronaldo, not sure if the club can set up a sale just like that here.

We’ll take to the pitch with the Juventus’ spirit with humility and respect.

“We must be focused and not rush to score immediately. We need a goal and we can score it also at the end of the game.

Not what I want and hope not, but you know it'll very likely be that ghey hybrid. Demiral RCB, Bonucci CB/LCB, AS LCB/LB, Church on left, Wes RM/AM, etc.
