Well, you might argue that we are strengthened in defense with the 3-5-2 against certain teams, but at the same time we lack the creativity of the 4-3-3. It would be great to have both as alternatives. If we get a right winger able to work hard defensively (like Pepe, but better), then I don't see why 4-3-3 wouldn't work. Sure, we would want to use 3-5-2 against certain opponents, but a 4-3-3 with Pirlo or 4-2-3-1 with a trequartista is what we should be aiming for in the long run.
The 4-3-3 will work and 4-2-3-1 is also another excellent formation, but only without players like Pirlo. If anything I've always advocated tactical change as our current, hopefully previous system, became way too predictable. We only have disagreement over Pirlo's role and that's alright I guess.

I am actually quite relaxed, as I feel that win, lose, or draw qualification still hinges on our last game, away to Galatasary in Turkey (unless the unexpected happens, and they beat Madrid in Spain). The only factor going into that final game might be whether we need to win or get a draw to qualify.

Even if we lose here, and Gala accumulate 4 points in the next 2 rounds, they will be on 8 points, whereas we'd be on 5 (provided we beat the Danes at home). In that case, we'd need to go to Turkey and win (which is by all means possible) to ensure qualification.

This. We need points here, but we are not finished even with a loss.

Have to say I thought I'll be more nervous today.

Somehow I'm confident we will win.

The formation in game will probably change into this
Gigi
Barzagli-Bonucci-caceres
Marchisio. Asamoah
Vidal-Pirlo-Pogba
Tevez-Llorente

If we are believed to be starting with the predicted 4-3-3 with Claudio at RWF.
