was at the Stadium and the first half was really frustrating, oh boy, yes it was bad I kept seeing Conte shaking his head in my mind.
In the second half it started to look different and became obvious a goal was coming, was just a matter of when.
I am glad I was wearing Tevez shirt out of my collection, lucky to pick the star of the night although I was really impressed by Caceres too.
Very disappointed by Pogba (too arrogant) and Marchisio (good in the defense phase, totally unable to build up something decent).
At the Stadium Llorente's goal looked good, haven't had a chance to see it in slow motion yet but if it was offside was a matter of mm's.

Looking at the other games, none of the favourites - with the exception of Real . had an easy night: Benfica tharashed at home (could have been bigger score from what I have read), Liverpool winning in added time with a dubious penalty, Monaco underserved winner and Atletico arse raped prison style by the Greeks.

I am looking forward to the next game, both Vidal and Pirlo will be back and we can play for two results with Atletico obliged to win because even a draw would majorly complicate their lives.

I am not so sure, why you guys think that we would/will play better with Pirlo. Our opponents will and have studied our games and they know they can cut our performance down if they aggressively man mark Pirlo, just like malmo did with marchisio (not to the full extend obviously) and then pirlo sees less of the ball, which is his strongest point, but he hasnt got the defensive tenacity of claudio, which is why he should be a dm most of the time and allow pogba, vidal, pereyra and asa more attacing space and thus goals or chances.
.yesterday Marchisio should have seen more of the ball, maybe he has to work on his off the ball movement to create space for himself, so he can dictate the play in a way that allows the other 2 cm's going forward as much as possible.

Loved Asa's long rong shots tho.

he was slightly offside. even in slow motion it looked very close ^^.

i was a bit annoyed in the first half because of how sloppy we were. especially pogba and evra (?) had some :sergio: moments.

blaming everything on 352 looks completely retarded to me. especially statements like "playing with 5 defenders against malmö trolololol" look kinda dubious, considering lichtsteiner literally spent the entire game in line with malmö´s backline... furthermore it wasn´t the formation that made
- llorente miss a free header from 3m out (wtf?).
- licht miss trivial passes across to asamoah and later to tevez/llorente who would have had a simple tap in.
- pogba miss evra´s cross. imo he really should have gotten there. his positioning looked weird and his reaction was slow.
- licht miss a free header from 5m out.
- ...
despite us not playing well (especially) in the first half the score line is a joke. of course we are entirely at fault for not converting that chances but the formation should be the last thing to blame when it comes to missed chances.

having said all that, i still think that we should and will switch to a 433/4312/4321 (completely different to 433 because tevez is not a winger!!!!!!!) as soon as everybody is fit again and fully integrated.
but i also think that it was the correct decision to use 352 in the first 3 games. it was just the safe way to go and despite popular opinion in this forum the safe way isn´t always the pussy way but quite often the right way to go.

someone said that we could have played a back 4 with chiellini and bonucci as CBs. i agree and find it kinda ridiculous that some are claiming that this would be a horrible backline and pretty much unplayable, even against malmö . BUT what about the rest of the team? licht RB, evra LB and asamoah, marchisio, pogba as CMs... and then?
- morata played like 5min over 2 matches since his injury. was he ready to start? i doubt it.
- giovinco? forum would have loved that
- 18 year old coman for his cl debut? possible but guess who would have taken all the blame if something went wrong. many of our experienced players looked quite nervous so...
- suspended pereyra? i know several members wanted to sub him in ("allegri you idiot, JUST bring on pereyra") but yeah, that´s not how suspensions work.
- marchiso as AM, romulo RCM and pogba in the middle? nah

i don´t blame allegri for taking the safe route, especially because it got us 9/9 points with 5:0 goals but i´m also looking forward to see 43x :).

First half was one of the most disgusting pieces of football I've seen us play (think Ferrara disgusting level). Were playing like a bunch of schoolgirls. Always in a rush, looking like we don't have a fvckin clue what to do and how to reach their goal.
I def think it's a mental issue. Somehow these set of players think they're not good enough for this competition and as a result they get into the "sh!ttn their pants" mode.

I find this forum's reaction to our backline, incredibly hypocritical and amazingly stupid.

Last season, we suffered alot when we were in firm controll and creating chances against minnows, but our defenders continue'd to gift blunders allowing the opponent to score, completely changing the game.

"We must learn from last year". I agree.

So what does Allegri ? He realises how shit Caceres, Obgonna and Bonucci are as pure central defenders compared to Chiellini and Barzagli, so instead of making the risk even larget by putting shit next to chiellini and run a good chance of getting a goal against in the only chance Malmo would get during the entire game, he decides he is not a peasant.

He fields a back3, with a very strong midfield in front of it to make sure, that even a defence wich has bonucci and caceres in it, cannot fuck shit up.

Result ? We gave away nothing, we had 5 open chances, and we scored just before the houre mark.

Job fucking completed, and Allegri was 100% right to play this formation considering the players.

If he had played a 4backline, and whatever shitfuck is next to chiellini would have blundered, the same people would have gone beserk against Allegri for beeing a failure.

Very important win for you guys.
During the first half, i was thinking this is Juve's European campaign from last season all over again.

haven't read all the thread so it might have been mentioned before but I was really impressed by Morata's few minutes on the pitch, he is a big lad but with some pace and some good footwark too. I hope he'll have his chances to prove his worth, he can be a real cracker.
