Oh my god, in Mexico you can watch Champions League games in the cinema. Ticket bought, $60 pesos.

Holy shit imagine that big screen and the noise :tuttosport:
Watched WC 2006 games in cinema, shit was amazing.

Last night I dreamt that I was dreaming. I saw barca trashing us in a nightmare, then I woke up to realize I overslept and missed the champs league game. When I turned on the tv, I saw A SHIRTLESS TREZEGUET holding the champs league trophy and we had beaten barca 3-0. And then finally I woke up to the real world.
Awesome dream lol.

But please for the love of all things holy, change your avatar.

Well, the formula is there:
-The same defense that got owned in that FINAL basically. (chiello, bon..specially chiello)
-Now add Messi neymar and suarez tot he equation, which is basically an upgrade from that euro spanish team.

I hope that we will win with grinta and good tactical awareness.

BUT also , that Italy team was decimated as fuk...and also i think this juve team is better.

Its difficult to predict
1) Barza was coming back from a small injury.
2) Chiello was injured earlier in the tournament, and though played against Germany, he fell to pieces in the final and had to be subbed off.
3) Prandelli then subbed on Thiago Motta who then himself got injured and Italy went down to 10 men for much of the 2nd half.
4) Further on Prandelli; he was amazing throughout most the tournament, and won games no one thought he would. After that 'chat' with Conte, going into the group game vs Spain with Juve's 3-5-2 (playing DDR in Barza's position) was genuis! Spain until then look unassailable as an international squad and that Juve derived 3-5-2 utterly choked their supply and rendered their tika-taka practically useless (I recall Giak was used as a LWB in that game too). Prandelli lost his nerve, right at the death and played a 4 back against Spain in the final that didn't work and back-fired horribly, he readily abandoned the very tactics he proved would work against the Spanish style of play (also, Chiello shouldn't have started, and T.Motta was the wrong sub for the wrong situation).
5) Italy's midfield doesn't have a Pogba or Vidal (though one could say DDR is a pretty apt replacement), but Vidal, Pogba, Pirlo and Marchisio (with Asamoah, Pereyra and Sturaro in reserve) makes for a very potent midfield that exceeds even Italy's!

Bonucci has improved leaps and bounds since 2012. IIRC, Chiellini was playing LB to start that game, a position he's horrible in, and was injured previously in the tournament (thigh) and shouldn't have started the final. Sub'd off at 20 minutes.

Our defense is entirely different today. Evra is miles better than Chiellini (and after the sub Balzaretti) at LB. Lichtsteiner is miles better than Abate at RB. Bonucci is much better than 2012 Bonucci. Only 2012 Barza > Chiellini today.

As for the mids. Prandelli played a midfield diamond of Pirlo with Marchisio and De Rossi flanking him and Montolivo in front...

I can't really think of an actual parallel to this game. Barca is unlike any team we have faced in the last couple years, and in all honesty, we're unlike any team they have faced in the last couple years. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
1) Your analysis is pretty spot on mate, I agree with pretty much all you've said..

2) :sergio: F*cking Prandelli's mancrush on Riccardo Olive Mount... :sergio:

3) Again yo're right mate... We've not played a team even close to Barca's style, likewise they've not faced up against anything like Juve. Putting aside who we obviously want to see win, for football's sake it will be an intriguing chess style, tug-of-war struggle between two pretty formidable squads!

We're going to have to dig deep and fight like this!

Montolivo and Abate. I don't know how those two ever set foot on the pitch in the Euros, let alone started the final. That was just so cringeworthy for a European Championship final. Man, that match was so anti-climactic and awful.

60 pesos, worth the risk :D

And by the way Mexico has its $#@! together at least where I live.
I'm just teasing. Mostly because I'm super jealous. Watching the match in a cinema would be amazing!

The Barca forum is so full of butthurt about the injury wishes and comments here. Basically calling Tuz a breeding ground for disgraceful human behaviour.

'Tuz is a glorious and chaotic mess and I wouldn't have it any other way. The fact they don't seem to understand that 9 of 10 comments here of that sort are tongue-in-cheek, it's pretty sad.

It's not our fault their forum is all vanilla and boring as fuck. It's purely a football forum, filled with Messi fanboys (and girls @Ragazza :D ), all super-serious about how amazing Messi and Barca are. YAY! FUN!

Perhaps they expect something like that:

"Oh, man. We're playing against God Messi, God Iniesta, God Xavi, God Suarez, God Neymar and their prophet Rakitic. Let's hope we don't get trashed too much. I'll be happy with 4-0 loss. Should I get a vaseline for the massive assfuck that awaits us."

I also saw that they are quoting Siamak as the "average" Tuz opinion and I was like

Stuff like that makes Mexico pretty scary. Not to mention that Mexico looks like a playground for USA to make economic experiments with neo-liberalism. On the other hand regular mexicans seem super cool people.
The harder you flash, the harder you get flashed on yo

I'd pretty much agree with this, minor favs. although I think we could of beaten City + PSG even if they were full strength.

Munich with Robben n Ribbery fit would of been a big ask though.I was even worried about playing them WITHOUT both players lol.Although am naturally cautious.....
You will lose.

Those things are obviously said in jest.

This whole forum is built on sarcasm and trolling.
Yep.

I can see how it would pretty bad to someone not used to it though :D

How the fuck is he underrated? It should be obvious to everyone he is the best in his position (since the previous midfield maestro's declined/about to retire in Xavi-Pirlo and Iniesta).
Exactly, especially in the build up to our games with Madrid there wasn't one article that didn't highlight his injury and how incredibly important he was for the team. I mean he's still rather far away from Xavi/Pirlo/Iniesta recognition in the general public, but that's also because he's been at that level for a shorter time, and can't really get the same exposition in international tournaments the way the other three could due to playing for Italy & Spain.
