Everyone keeps talking about how we've had great luck in our run to the CL final... but no one seems to notice that this Barca has had massive luck too.

ManCity, no Yaya Toure in the first leg. Win 2-1 away from home and basically clinch the tie.

PSG, no Ibra or Verratti in the first leg. Win 3-1 away from home and basically clinch the tie.

Bayern, no Ribery, Robben, or Alaba in either leg. Clinched at home in first leg 3-0. And they were dominated in the return leg at Bayern, lucky to only lose 3-2.

Barca has had great luck when it comes to facing teams not a full-strength due to injuries and card suspensions.

So we're clearly not the only team with luck helping us get to the final.

Aside from this, Barca has 5 wins 1 loss in the 6 knockout games, 13 goals scored - 5 goals against for +8

Juventus has 4 wins - 2 draws in the 6 knockout games, 9 goals scored - 3 goals against for +6

I'm having trouble seeing anything that suggests Barca should be anything other than minor favourites, as in 55-45 at best in terms of percentage.

We owned city in every aspect of the game. Don't think Yaya could have helped much. In fact, they were lucky not to lose with much greater score.
PSG, also helpless. Ibra is invisible in big games anyway. Verratti has played on Camp Nou and we still dominated the game. Difference in quality was huge. How many shots on goal did they have...a few.
When Bayern is in question I can agree on that, but we'll never know. Nobody was making excuses when we lost against them couple of years ago and we were also in bad form back then.
Overall, Barca has had very strong opponents this season in CL and deserves finals.

No one said you didn't deserve the final. Don't overreact. Of course you deserve the final.

But just like people spouting off about Juve lucking their way to this final, every team has their bit of luck. You had yours by basically not having to play a single first leg against a full-strength team.

And I seriously doubt you crush PSG away in that first leg with Verratti and Ibra playing. Just my opinion though. As I said, you win, regardless, but not so easily.

You had the good fortune to have injuries and card suspensions work in your favour in every CL tie this year. ManCity missing its second best player. PSG missing 2 of its 3 best players. Bayern missing 3 of its 5 best players.

Just like we had the good fortune of drawing a fairly weak Dortmund and Monaco, and facing a not full-strength Madrid.

The point is, all this garbage about Juve lucking their way to the final, that I keep reading and hearing from Barca fans is nonsense. Every team that makes a CL final has some good fortune along the way. And Barca certainly did this year as well.

Also, and far more importantly, Barça are the Antichrist.

Like I said, our quality is big enough to not allow Verratti, Ibra or Yaya to have huge impact. Barca is just better team this year.
Mascherano and Pique are doing amazing job this season, hence why we conceded only 20 goals in la liga. Our midfield looked headless early in the season, but lately it works great. Rakitic is doing huge work in it and Iniesta is getting his form back. I won't even talk about MSN. This team has great chemistry. It's quite unbelievable how we managed the transition from "Pep's Barca" to this. I thought we were facing dark days a year ago.

Juventus obviously did great this season too. Beating RM over two legs cannot be just pure luck, that's for sure and I'm pretty confident that Juve players are more eager to lift the trophy.

Why would anyone in his right mind do that?
Because, there's no point talking about how Barca players are bunch of divers if all you do is just pulling random gifs.

The Barca forum is so full of butthurt about the injury wishes and comments here. Basically calling Tuz a breeding ground for disgraceful human behaviour.

'Tuz is a glorious and chaotic mess and I wouldn't have it any other way. The fact they don't seem to understand that 9 of 10 comments here of that sort are tongue-in-cheek, it's pretty sad.

It's not our fault their forum is all vanilla and boring as fuck. It's purely a football forum, filled with Messi fanboys (and girls @Ragazza :D ), all super-serious about how amazing Messi and Barca are. YAY! FUN!

The culture and etiquette there is different than most other football forums, half the shit that's said on here wouldn't be allowed there. So if people only read this thread and the corresponding threads on other opposition forums (Bayern, City etc when Barca played them) and see dozens of "fuck this player and that player, I hope they get injured" type posts, it's a bit of a shock when the same behavior toward the opposition there would be met with infraction or ban.

I've been on here long enough to know better though, have had lengthy conversations with many here and I wouldn't have stayed if I thought you were all terrible people. :p And there are good people there too, not everyone is arrogant or a fanboy or glory hunter (the forum was only founded at the end of 2008 after a different Barca forum shut down, so join date doesn't necessarily equate to when they became a fan).

You always need luck to reach a CL final, and even more to win it. I say that every year about every finalist and winner, because it's just the way it is. You can't always play great, and even if somehow you do you can't cater for an odd error, injuries, the mistake of an official, a wonder goal. You need it all to fall for you. Call it luck or fate or destiny, you just make the most of it when it arrives.

Next year we will have a stronger team on paper and might even play better than this year, and we might go out in the RO16 or QF if things go against us.

Did they say if they'll let him celebrate with them if they win?

You also have Messi.
yea messi is pretty gross looking

I want a grimey and dirty win.
Would be super dope if the final score was 2-0 for Juve, Bonucci and Chiello on the scoresheet. BonBon run + shot vs Lazio style, Chiello bycicle kick goal repeat from last game

I agree but I still think we had more luck than them all the way to the final. Yesterday I was watching "The road to Berlin" and I realized this.
We barely managed to get past the group stages. Our most important match was against Olympiacos in Turin and we won. But by 60th min, Oly had the lead. Then Llorente scores very important goal, but a very lucky one too.
The third goal, more or less the same. Pogba tries a back heel pass to someone, the ball is blocked and come back to bounce in front of him on a plate  We beat them but with two very lucky goals, and one master FK by Pirlo.

Then in the round of 16 we were lucky and got Dortmund, one of the weakest teams. We beat them easily.

In the quarter finals, we are lucky once again with the draw and get the easiest opponent. Over two legs we only managed to beat them with a penalty (remember the penalty) playing really bad, making goal line clearance, Chiellini slipping once again and tons of missed chances by Monaco in the second leg.

Watch this on 0:11. Pure luck.

In the semi finals, we once again we got the easiest opponent. We wanted Real, because we knew that over two legs we can beat only them. I think the score was 1-1 when Sturaro made most lucky block in front of an open goal. Taking the lead there for RM, would have made things a lot harder for us.

Not to mention the Bale missed chance in Madrid, the one that Marcelo started celebrating , and missing their second most important player, Modric.

We were very very lucky on the way to Berlin. I just hope, the lady luck won`t turn her back on our most important game in the last 12 years.
