I'm actually a fan of Ronaldo, I think he's the white SBA. I like him more than Messi. But in saying that, I'm of the opinion that Messi is still the better player. The numbers they put up are similar, but numbers don't always tell the whole story in sports. Just watching them play and forgeting about numbers, Messi just has this unstoppable vibe since he's hit his prime that Ronaldo has never exuded for me. He's the more complete player yes, but Messi is the more effective. I've never seen Messi stiffled in a match for long stretches, where as Ronaldo can be kept quiet.
Milan Barcelona 2-0 under #Euromaxx

Actually, every game against milan managed by #Euromaxx that was not played in Camp Nou, and 2 that were.

We shouldnt judge Barca based on their team from two yrs back when allegri got that famous result.
Back then they were less direct than they are now and were more insistent on having more possesion of the ball.
This Barca is way more direct and attack the box and unlike their previous teams, lethal as fuck on counters. At the same time, they've been able to maintain a stable defense too
Statistically, they've the best defense across the top 5 leagues.

The midget is not unstoppable. He already lost one important final last year.
And in that final he received 8 passes in the attacking third, compared to 14 in the semi-final, 26 in the last 16 and 13, 22 and 18 in the groups.

His stats for dribbling and key passes were actually above his average for the tournament in that final, so he wasn't marked out of the game, but Germany neutralised Argentina's midfield, meaning he was operating deeper, so it was harder to hurt them.

That's all I'm saying, I'm not saying "oh Messi is unstoppable, we're gonna lose, time to cry".

I'm saying he is unstoppable IF you let him get the ball consistently in the positions he wants it. Therefore we should concentrate not on stopping Messi, but on stopping the ball REACHING Messi, which is a much more simple task.

Despite all this,i believe in destiny.

Barca also do miss a lot of chances.Dont be surprised to see them bottle many chances in the final.

First of all, thank you for knocking out RM and making CR cry.

Second, Barca will win. ;)
But honestly, I think there's an excitement and fear in both camps. Maybe we have slightly more chance because Messi simply makes the difference, but this is football and
you might end up more lucky then we. On the other hand, Juve is in incredible rise and might come out with stronger mentality.
Anyway, best of luck to both teams and I hope I'll won't come back here in Saturday congratulating you. :hi:

:agree: we need to factor this year's barca less possesion-horny and midfield-reliant approach in to the game (against the physicality of our midfield). inevitably, there will be periods where we'll be able to impose our game and play high up the pitch and we should....

I kno the game is perfectly setup by the Media and by everyone and their dog as the best attack vs. the best defence, understandably so. And its true that our primary game will probably be to shut down their attack and try to neutralize Messi, but that's one dimension of the game and not the whole...Suarez movement and runs behind the defence can be the determining factor (and frankly am afraid of that).... how barca's defense fare against Tevez and Morata who throughout the knockout stage showed that they are a dynamic and ruthless combo shud be factored in as well, the midfield battle ofcourse....its not ONLY about stopping Messi (tho its paramount), there are other variables also in play here
