Well i don't blame them for supporting barca, but calling Juve fans gloryhunters
For sure. After all this club has been through the past decade, a lot of us Juve fans have been in it for the long haul. It fills me with great satisfaction seeing this club go from strength to strength in the years since Calciopoli. What was supposed to be a Requiem for this club in '06 has turned out to be a resurrection.

forward to 9:08... the last time I heard "andiamo a berlino" and it meant the world to me ... (before this year of course :D )

It is insane how old the world of 2006 looks today. 2006 goddammit. That's 9 years ago. That's not that long. Makes you wonder what the world will look like in 2024.

There's a difference between being pussy, and recognising that we're facing one of the greatest players ever to play the game.

I think we can win this. All I'm saying is that if we allow Messi to play the way he wants, he will destroy us, as he would any team.

58 goals and 23 assists in 50 games this season.

Cut off the supply to him, and we can do this. I'd say our midfield and defence are better than theirs.

The one big difference is Messi, the best player in the world. (Ronaldo is fantastic too, but IMO he's not on the same level, Messi can conjure something from nothing).

It's not "pussy" to say that we have to be worried about Messi. It's not "pussy" to say that if we let him on the ball, he'll destroy us, he does that to everyone.

I'm being realistic in saying that our best chance to neutralise Messi is to stop him getting the ball in the first place, because once he gets it it's practically impossible to get him off it.
The midget is not unstoppable. He already lost one important final last year. It was proven numerous times how you can keep him at bay.

And now he will be facing the best defensive unit in the world.

Only Ronaldo has just about as many assists as Messi does.
Sure he does, compare the assists though and Ronaldo's are fairly simple assists in the box with a simple lay off. Then look at Messi's assists of making defence splitting killer passes that Pirlo would even be proud of.

Ronaldo plays higher up the pitch and his lay offs are much more simpler than the work Messi does in midfield who plays about 20 yards deeper than Ronaldo.

I'm actually a fan of Ronaldo, I think he's the white SBA. I like him more than Messi. But in saying that, I'm of the opinion that Messi is still the better player. The numbers they put up are similar, but numbers don't always tell the whole story in sports. Just watching them play and forgeting about numbers, Messi just has this unstoppable vibe since he's hit his prime that Ronaldo has never exuded for me. He's the more complete player yes, but Messi is the more effective. I've never seen Messi stiffled in a match for long stretches, where as Ronaldo can be kept quiet.

So...

Messi 50 games - 58 goals - 23 assists

shits all over:

Ronaldo 47 games - 59 goals - 19 assists

:shifty:

This argument is so stupid. The difference between them is slim to none this year, in terms of tangible results. Ronaldo also doesn't play with Neymar and Suarez who are both top 5 attackers in the world. He plays with Bale and Benzema up front who are nowhere near top 5 attackers in the world.

Messi is better than Ronaldo, but the difference is microscopic. Saying he shits all over Ronaldo is just ridiculous.

That's Mario Jardel between 96-03. He never even played for Brazil in any important game. I'm just trying to show you that statistics don't show the whole picture. Maybe you should start watching some more games instead.

So our beautiful CL final-thread, "THE thread" as Alen named it, has simply turned into a Messi vs. CR7 debate.

Of course.

Man. This shit is ridiculous.

I dont see how Ronaldo is more complete than Messi. Messi can play as a midfielder and often tracks back to close the opposition down. Ronaldo simply cant do what Messi is able to do.

Then there is the vision, passing of Messi and his dribbling is off the charts. I just dont see how anyone can say "Ronaldo is more complete" it couldn't be any further from the truth.

Ronaldo is better in the air and better at penalties. Everything else Messi trumps him at.

What i'm interested in, is how Chiellini or Vidal or will gloriously kill Messi and clinch the trophee

The whole team will just double up on him, i dont think one player will be assigned to him as who ever is closest will make it their duty to close him down.

Similar to how Max beat Barca in the San Siro 2-0 a couple of years ago.
