it's one thing to get beaten by barcelona (then again we already hated them ahead of time, so it changes nothing). at least they are a respectable opponent

but dortmund in 1997 was a complete fluke, they played far better than us in the final but throughout the competition there was no contest we were the dominant team. that's just a really annoying way to lose, one that can plant the seeds of resentment if you get my drift.

i only blame the scudetto celebrations and the lack of proper preparation for the lost final to dortmund. i can't hate the germans for that. we played like shit in the final, that's something juventus can't afford.

Elvin was talking about second/thir tier clubs, the ones that perhaps have a good generation every 20 years and are somewhere between 4th &10th place otherwise.

No one's saying that we made a mistake in getting him last year. That was a brilliant move.

If EPL fanboys and pundits keep claiming the EPL is more important than CL and EL so they don't care about it why not just drop out of those competitions all together? I am tired of hearing the "EPL games take too much out of us" excuse every year. EPL now is nowhere deep and competitive as Serie A was in the 90s and Italian clubs still dominated Europe.

I think the EPL is 4th best league in Europe, La-Liga number 1 with the Bundesliga and Serie A two and three.

I can relate to what the EPL teams are going through at the moment.

Remember how Inter Milan were dominant in Serie A, but flopped in Europe?
Remember how when Serie A went through that blip phase in seasons: 00,01 and 02, despite having arguably the best league and players?

The thing is I wish they would have given Serie A the same excuses they give themselves back then: "Wrong tactics but qualty league" "poor management but quality league", or "their teams don't care about the Europa League/Uefa cup".

Because all I heard back then was; "this is further evidence that Serie A is trash" or "had Inter been in the EPL, they would have been average, they only dominate because they are in a weak leaugue."

The game and win against City was important for us on so many levels, but IMO the most important thing is that we are a force in CL again and we don't suffer in this competition.

People wouldn't have complained one bit if we received that €28m now but we aren't.It's €5m this yr and €3m the next.Bulk of the fee will be received in 2017 where €28m would be the new €10m.
If people actually looked at the bigger picture taking inflation into account, they'll see this as a really poor deal.We are basically banking on Coman turning into a giant flop to justify this poorly made deal.

That could very well be the case. He could just be a mediocre player. I don't remember him doing much as a Juve player. People seem to have this idea of Coman being this hidden Pogba.
