I don't see how that would be an advantage for us going into the quarterfinals if we do manage that. I don't want to beat a big team in round of 16 and then go out in the quarterfinals, win or lose I would much rather play them later in the tournament.

We would keep being low profile, even if we beat say Arsenal in my opinion; they are not rated highly and we still won't be seen as contenders for sure, if we eliminate them.

I think, as things stand, we shouldn't worry about facing any English opposition. I'd only be slightly concerned if we came up against Barca, and to a lesser extent Madrid and Bayern. Since I purposefully avoided all those teams in my hypothetical scenario, I firmly believe if my predictions were to materialize we could make it to the final
