Arsenal boss respects 'reborn’ Juventus
By Football Italia staff
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that Italian giants Juventus will be a threat in the Champions League.
The Old Lady could face the Gunners in the next round of the competition after both reached the last 16.
And Wenger, writing in his Eurosport column, highlighted the Bianconeri’s achievement in topping a group containing Shakhtar Donetsk and Chelsea.
“Let's not forget Juventus, who eventually sealed their qualification on the final day,” the Frenchman commented.
“That they did so in such a fashion means something – it’s the sign of the great team in an exceptional state of mind. I believe Juve have been reborn.
“Now we are into the knock-out phase of the competition – with direct elimination – I think Juventus can go far because they are capable of springing a surprise.”
The draw for the last 16 will take place on Thursday 20 December.
