Alright lads.

Gooner here.

Just wondering what your likely team will be..

I'm not taking anything for granted, a lot of people are saying you were lucky against Werder, but iuf I recall, in the 2nd leg, Wiese made some world class saves, until "that" howler.

The good news for us is that Sol, Cole and RvP will be fit by the time we face you *Touches wood*, 3 very important players.
Hey, welcome to the forum

Juve were very disappointing against Bremen and I pray to God that the team come out with a positive approach at Highbury. Capello's insistence on defensive stability hurts us in attack but I'm hoping that we can get at least one away goal. Campbell and Cole will be back but even so the Arsenal backline is hardly rock solid. If Emerson and Vieira can get going early on and dominate the centre then it'll be a tough night for Fabregas and Gilberto but again, it's all about Juve's mind set. If we go to London looking for a draw I think we'll get burned just like we did in Germany.

Nedved will miss the first leg through suspension so Mutu is likely to start on the left. I would pick this team:

Buffon
Zambrotta - Thuram - Cannavaro - Balzaretti
Camoranesi - Emerson - Vieira - Mutu
Trezeguet - Del Piero

My reason for playing Zamboy on the right and starting Balzaretti is that we need someone with pace on our right to cope with Reyes and Henry. If Ibrahimovic starts we could be in trouble.

I should have said, "on form" about Sol.. He's been dire at times this season.

Cole is vital for us in attack aswell as defence.. He's been a huge miss, but Flamini has done superbly, since he's a CM playing at LB.

RvP is such a big player for us this season, he's the only direct player we've got really, along with Reyes, his technique is supoerb, he has a wonderful left foot, dead ball specialist, he's back in training, so hopefuilly barring any other injuries he'll partner Henry.

But man for man, Juve are superior, you're runaway leaders in Serie A, experience all across the pitch.

The way we'll have to win the game is at Highbury, to keep a clean sheet and press you all over the pitch, Highbury is small and Juve might not be used to a fast tempo Premiership style game at Highbury, with players pressing your every move.. We'll definztely have to play the 1st leg like a Premiership game and hope for a 1-0.

But with players like Trezeguet, Del Piero, Nedved, Vieira, Mutu, Zlatan and Camorenesi, it's going to be so difficult.

Kolo has been magnificent for us this season and will have to continue to be so.. Eboue has been different class since the ANC aswell.

I personally can't wait, what's Vieira's form been like, he was very average for us the last 2 seasons and very injury prone, has he lit Juve up?

Henry scored against us in 1998 for Monaco, they beat us 3-2 that night, but we won 6-4 on aggregate and went through to the CL final.
So he has scored against us, the bugger.
Let's not turn that CL final into a topic though, it's too damn depressing.

First of all, let me point out that I was one of those who couldn't understand why he didn't field Del Piero from the start. When I saw Zlatan in the lineup I couldn't believe my eyes. I reckognize that it wasn't Capello's best game as a tactician. All I'm trying to do here, is remind some people that he's already won us a title and that we're on our way to a second with him at the helm. And he's been CONSISTENTLY good for Juventus. In my opinion it was a 100% correct decision to appoint him as manager, and I'm thankful for what he has done so far (despite the Bremen games).

Maybe some people should keep in mind that he's only human?

And - Bremen is a QUALITY side. No walkover for anyone this season.
Well said my friend!

The bold Part: thank you my friend, hear that pessimists?

Add to that the two goals we (Juve) conceeded the last minutes in Bremen.

We will not be able to handle the Arsenal speed. They are engines, from defenders to the attackers. The players are hungry, they have showed the best football I've seen in the previous stage. Everyone was saying Barcelona and Milan were the most fearful but fact of the matter is Arsenal displayed better than those two.

Barcelona could not win over Chelsea, they only won when they outnumbered them. Milan played one good game in the encounter and we all know that Milan has been incosistant throughout the whole season.

Concerning the CL, since the group stages, Arsenal were playing winning football. They are playing football that we have no clue against.

As far as I am concerned, we are not going further than the draw.
I agree
when i remmember how we performed against liverpool in the 2 matches last season and how we qualified by luck this season against bremen and how is arsenal way of playing i think that we dont have a chance because juve dont have a good record against EPL teams

Greetings Juve fans.

Thought I'd chime in on the upcoming match.

I was really excited to hear that The ARSE will get a shot at making PV eat his words regarding winning the CL. I cannot wait to see how Arsene's kiddie midfield faces up to your lot. I know that the two legs will both be hard fought affairs (kinda upset that Nedved will miss the first leg as he is my favourite player on your team).

Where do you feel that the match will be won and lost. for me its in midfield. i am hoping that Diaby starts as I feel him an PV will be a great match-up. Th14 will be out to show you lot what you missed as well.

Here's to a great match between two great clubs.

Oh and I still have not forgotten Liam joining you lot.

Tell me Jeeks. What will you say if we win this one? If we outplay them in both legs and win both of the 1-0 with a superb goal from Zlatan in both?

Just wondering....

You seem to have negated all the scenarios where Juve can pull this off.
I will congratulate everyone for the win and praise the work of the manager and the players that brought the win, if the win was a deserved win and not a gift from Lehman while everyone was playing like apes.

Why do you ask?

Arsenal sure have the quality needed to break us,
they are good both in attack with fast pace wingers and propably the fastest forward Henry, they are a young ambitius team and their first priority sould be CL now,
they are also good in defence as they prooved against Real,
we will sure have a difficult time against them,
As an english team i have to repeat we souldnt try again those desperate long balls because their advanced trained, on this matter, defenders, wont let us to create any serius chances,
they are a strong team but they have their weaknesses too,
we must take advantage of our quality and experianced players and we have to hope that they will proove themselves once again as the loosers of the CL...

Thanks for the welcome. Hardy har har re: "French team"

Yeah, Madrid tried that but our defenders held em' off (even Senderos's 50pence shaped head).

welcome arser! i hope that mr wenger loses the plot & decides to field pyscal cygan,oh how i would love that...hehe

u know zinedine zidane said the same about Juve when he left for madrid & he did eventually win the CL.the way the team is curently playin makes it hard to predict, but im sure mr wengers fledglings will want to prove a point to PV & vice versa.

if we contain hleb we'll be fine; i think we'll win both games.
Yeah, Hleb has really come into form during our CL run. He still has a problem passing but his runs from the midfield are jaw dropping! Once he learns to shoot, he will be a monster.

Thanks for the welcomes
