thats one heck of a way to give a complement. Lets face it we won due 100% to a keeper howler. Yes the subs made an impact but most people on these forums were calling for Mutu and dp from the start, and rightly so!

Had we played appropriate tactics and personnel in both legs this should have been something in the regio of a 5-1 walkover. As it was we were extremely fortunate to get through and Capello was the biggest obstacle to our progress.
First of all, let me point out that I was one of those who couldn't understand why he didn't field Del Piero from the start. When I saw Zlatan in the lineup I couldn't believe my eyes. I reckognize that it wasn't Capello's best game as a tactician. All I'm trying to do here, is remind some people that he's already won us a title and that we're on our way to a second with him at the helm. And he's been CONSISTENTLY good for Juventus. In my opinion it was a 100% correct decision to appoint him as manager, and I'm thankful for what he has done so far (despite the Bremen games).

Maybe some people should keep in mind that he's only human?

And - Bremen is a QUALITY side. No walkover for anyone this season.

i am confident that we will advance to the next stage, though it won't be easy.

arsenal has played below par in their league, and while in cl-group met some easy teams, yes they played great against madrid but a madrid team who too has been performing inconsistantly. arsenal hasn't won against big teams like liverpool, man.utd and chelsea in the league this year.
they didn't even beat ajax in their encounters.

so they have henry...well i say we have del piero, trez, buffon, ibra, zambrotta...and so forth.

all i'm saying is that we shouldn't fear the worst scenario already. think people are spooked coz arsenal just kicked madrid out, but so did we last year( and the year before)

Strong statement here Lou.

Yup. This "playing just good enough to be 1 goal better" might work in Serie A, but certainly not against CL opponents (or against Milan this weekend, for that matter).

This team needs to learn to go for the throat.

That would truly be a dream CL for me, as well.

if we rele go for it against arsenal we can take them, we will win in turin, so if we can get a good result in highbury that would b great

beating Milan in the final will be very sweet but unfrtunately i dont see them beating barca in there way to the final at all
fact of the matter is, i think they will leave the CL befor that when they face Lyon

defensive tactics or offensive tactics ---> which is better for the CL ?? the truth is winning the CL is not only about adopting an attacking/defensive mind , it is more than that.

the last 2 winners of CL(porto, liverpool) were more known for their defensive mind but numerous "defensive-minded" clubs also failed.
at the other hand playing an attacking football is not a garantie for winning the CL , take barca (an "offensive-minded club") didn't even the final in the last 10 years and is not lack of trying.

people underate milan, they r very strong (only team to beat us in serie A), the reason i want to play them is not because were showing what a great team we are in beating them (i.e. to face barca in the final would do that), its because i want revenge and payback for 2003, that was our year

yes
he was the GK against milan, dony u remember 3-1 in the first round
But let us not put all the blame on Chimenti for that loss. I did not see any attempt on goal except for that one we scored.
