I think QF of the CL is doable... but winning the Scudetto against this Inter side is going to be very difficult...
Anything that's worth winning takes a huge concerted effort.

We can't do this without everybody, the fans, the players, the coach.

Fuck the detractors, Forza Juve.

Haven't seen the game or read any of your comments, was busy all weekend. This morning I picked up Gazzetta, here's the relevant story from it. The translation is overly literal, in part because I'm tired and can't be bothered to embellish, in part because my Italian still sucks.

Mah. Tanto quel che conta è il risultato.

But Ferrara now smiles "It is improving"
"It's true, few chances but we avoided risk"

Our Lady of Victory forgives all if only she gets what she must have. The only thing that counts is the result, that which decides the table and remains in the annals, where there is space for the who and for the how many, but not for the how. Siena-Juventus, for example, will stand as 1-0, signed Amauri, omitting the fact that against the last placed team in the table Juve managed one shot and a half on goal, and that the same thing happened against Maccabi, last placed in the CL. These three points make it possible to remain on the trail of Inter and Samp, the latter waiting on Wednesday at Olimpico. And that's all that matters.

Three points for the stock holders
Thus Ciro Ferrara says "I see the glass half full" and adds: "The victory was essential, and it was merited. It's true that we had few chances, but we took no risks and we ran the game. I'm very satisfied about the result and about our performance." The result, this result which, other than for the classification, was essential since tomorrow there is an important meeting of stock holders and to show up with more than 4 points distance to Inter would be more embarrassing than the minimalistic football on show. Ferrara reiterates that the fact of taking no risks is an improvement: "This is not sufficient, but I'm satisfied." And then he explains: "In the first half we weren't high enough on the field and that allowed Siena to close down all spaces. Ball possession was ours, but the ball was too slow and we didn't have enough movement. In the second, with the substitutions I made, the center of gravity was pushed forward and we put more pressure on the wings [fasce - I think that's what it means.] and we succeeded in scoring." In actual fact, rarely has one seen this little quality on the wings as in the first half of yesterday, when Ferrara returned to the diamond before correcting the formation in the second. "The reason for this was the struggle to find spaces between the lines. It's true we made various mistakes on the wings and if I didn't put Camoranesi on at the beginning, it's because also he needs to breathe."

Where is the better Diego
The reference to spaces between the lines concerns Diego, whose efficacy also yesterday came solely down to the free kick serving Amauri. "I don't believe the formation is a problem for him - says Ferrara - however the direction [as in film direction] is up to Melo, who has the abilities to find Diego in his assigned position. At times Diego returned to gather the ball, but then returning to his characteristics and when the spaces are all closed down, he has to do this, because he knows how to pass a man. But this is not what his coach asks him to do, he wants him in a position further afield and more decisive." Well. All that counts is the result.

Forza Ferrara....we really need to show the man more faith. I don't always agree with his decisions but the man has bleed for the club, and the players still show support. Why can't we?

I think he can do something positive here, but I honestly don't know how long it will take to start producing. The question is are the fans willing to wait even longer?

In Ciro I trust - lets wait until the match against Sampdoria to give him the thumps up or the f..... The road to success is paved with failure but it must stop now, We are Juventus. Success will come to us on Wednesday...

Forza :flag1:

As reported on our website, Iaquinta injured for long time and we just left 2 strikers, Trezeguet and Amauri. So Ferrara will use Giovinco in coming matches in because of lack of strikers and also crowded matches in just 2 weeks.
I think that Ferrara will use his newly tested formation of 4:3:2:1 and 4:2:3:1 until the Captian returns.

But its not only his very questionable line-ups and subs that bothers me. a lot of players still seem to miss the drive to play and dominate, In the game against Siena it seemed like the players knew they are going to score and win 1-0 so they played with zero urgency,
Even when the form or ability isnt there I still expect players that play for Juve to show charecter and at least try.

I don't think Ciro should be fired because of his technical deficiencies (lineups, subs, formation) cause we are still in there.
To me its up to the coach to make the players play with spirit and grit, The effect of revenging the reglation has worn off.

If Ciro can't find a new way to motivate the players then he should go.
