Giovinco will NOT play as one of the 3 midfielders in a 4-3-3, wont happen. It will be two CMs/DMs and Camo mostly, or at times Nedved if there need be. Giovinco plays in a 4-3-3 formation with the Azzurrini and has since his debut, and he plays in the left side of a 3 man attack, or a free roaming fantasista. Thats it.

You would have to be clueless to think he will play in a hardworking 3 man midfield like that, and just because you want to be negative for the sake of it, doesnt mean Ranieri is a 10th of as clueless as you want it to seem.

In the Olympics, you will notice that the one who will play infront of two DMs in a 3 man midfield will be Montolivo. With Giovinco, Rossi and Aqcquafresca in 3 man attack. Actually thats why Iaquinta mentionned Giovinco as a 5th attacker he will compete with in the attack, because if we play 4-3-3 often, Gio will contend with the strikers, while in a 4-3-1-2 or regular 4-4-2, Iaquinta wont need to worry of having Gio as an extra player to bench him.
Judging by the way CR used Palla, a much more attacking player, i find it unlikely that he will use Giovinco, clearly a midfielder, in an even more attacking role.
I wish that would happen, at least as an experiment,
but judging from the things i ve seen so far, i doubt it
and we should also consider the fact that we are kind stacked up up front, my fears are justified...

No they are not, Giovinco WILL play the Del Piero role in a 4-3-3, NOTHING else. Your fears arent justified at all, you are just desperately trying to moan for the sake of it. There is no room for Giovinco in a hardworking 3 man midfield, only in a 3 man attack. Get it through it already instead of spewing nonsense.

Waiting and seeing is best yes, but it doesnt take much to realise the obvious, just a little thinking.

Just like in Barcas 4-3-3, Messi plays in the 3 man frontline, so will Giovinco for us. Messi isnt put there alongside Yaya and Xavi just for the heck of it. What sense would it be in such a clear cut formation, that Giovinco would play alongside Momo and Poulsen? Nothing, so expecting that and being doom and gloom about it is irrational.

Obvious???
Its our board we are talking about!!
Obvious implies logic and sanity and they lack both!!
I trust you would make the obvious choice, the wise choice, the logic choice, but no sir they wont.
They will turn Palla into an LM and never use him as a left SS
They will use Nocerino as an RM, despite having 3-4 AMFs available,
you might being confident that they will make what you see the safe, easy, right and obvious choice, but i am not confident they can see that.
Our transfers hardly make any sense,
unless we really use 4-3-3 as our main choice, the abundance of forwards and even the presence of Giovinco would strongly suggest that.
But what happens if we start with our 4-4-2 again??
Would this be logical?

I mean exactly what are you expecting to see, to stop defending our incompetent helm??

I think we all know Dp is the center of this team and he doesnt fit in to a 4-3-3. He needs the ball every tim the ball goes forward
I think we're not talking about Donadoni's 4-3-3 (which was actually 4-3-2-1).
The 4-3-3 with Giovinco will be 4-3-1-2 just that sometimes it will look like this :

striker-striker
Giovinco

But mostly it will look like this

Striker-Striker
................................. Giovinco
Poulsen-Sissoko-Camoranesi

Or Camo in the center and Sissoko on the right

POULSEN HAPPY TO BE CHOSEN ONENew Juventus signing Christian Poulsen feels honoured to have been chosen by the Italian giants ahead of the club's other options in the transfer market.

The Bianconeri signed Poulsen from Sevilla on Monday, making the 28-year-old midfielder their eighth close-season acquisition.

His arrival brought to an end speculation linking Spain international Xabi Alonso with the Old Lady, but Poulsen claimed he does not feel he was ever a second-choice option behind the Liverpool midfielder.

"Everything has happened very quickly, in a week," he revealed at his official presentation on Thursday.

"I know that Juventus were also following other players, but this is normal. When a big club moves in the transfer market they consider several players from the top leagues."

Poulsen believes it was his performances for Sevilla which tempted his new employers to make a move for him.

"I think that I've played some good games in the past two years and I think that is why Juventus have chosen me out of a group of top-level players," he continued.

"Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I was anxious to come here.

"After having played for four years in Germany and two in Spain, it's an honour for me to come here and be a part of this squad."

Juventus official Jean Claude Blanc added that the speed with which Poulsen's transfer was completed does not mean that the club were not following the player for some time.

He also echoed coach Claudio Ranieri's comments from earlier in the week, claiming that Poulsen's signing should be the club's last of the summer.

"The fact that everything has been very quick does not mean that we were not already previously interested in Poulsen. Juventus were following him since he played for Schalke (two seasons ago)," he revealed.

"We had a number of options, we spoke to more clubs about different players. Technical and economic valuations were made and Christian completely satisfied Juventus' demands."

He added: "With Christian's arrival our activity in the transfer market, except for looking for a second-choice goalkeeper, is almost complete.

"Of course, until the final day (of the transfer window) there is always the chance that we'll act again, but the chances of that are very slim."

I am very happy these days.... my favorite player Christian Poulsen has signed with my favorite club since 1990 Juventus....

Some info on ME and Poulsen...
I had the fun of playing agaist him in around 1996 KB(fc.copenhagen) vs Holbæk with Poulsen. Holbæk was these years new- junior -starlet team in Denmark and Poulsen was on the pitch...we were down 0-3 by the first half but luckly we maneged a 3-3 draw in the end...(i saved a penalty!)
He was spottet by Roy Hodgson(copenhagen coach)
When he got his debute in pro.football (2000 i think) he came in as a sub for Copenhagen vs Ikast. Copenhagen (my team) was down 0-1 and only minutes left...Poulsen gets the ball in the center of the pitch, for the first time ever, and passes imediately a great longball which dangeruosly sets up the copenhagen captain Solbakken, but he is brutally slaughtert ..Refs says penalty and copenhagen gets 1-1 everybody talks about the new youngster which completly changed the game within seconds...

Next game he starts on the pitch as right wing!!! first contact with ball is a backside loop over one of the, at that time, most agressive and violent player ever in denmark, Carsten Hemmingsen. i believed he was chosen man of match in his first ever full pro game that day...Copenhagen became champions that year, first time in almost 10years and Poulsen was hottest player in Denmark within weeks and the best on the team 19years old(correct me). On derby day against Brøndby we could secure the championship... Puolsen was all over the pitch and scores the first goal shortly after kick off in crucial 3-1 victory... Brøndby still hates him to this day...
We later took against Lazio in CL-qual an Poulsen totally outclashed Diego Simoni and Mendieta in the home game 2-1 copenhagen. Lazio came through cause of typically offcial hepl in the home game and won 3-1 on at least 2 offside goals...
Then it was time for ueafa cup 2001 against Bor. Dortmund with Jan Koller... I was so lucky to live almost next to Poulsen in the rough neighborhood of nørrebro... and one day i saw him on the street. i wished him goodluck with the home game tommorrow agaisnt dortmund...he then corrected me with a smile and said that ive must have meant the day-after-tomorow....( Stupid me...even had tickets for the game)
10min into game Poulsen was everywhere on pitch and dortmund was frustrating. Poulsen gets a nice, good, clean and rough tackle against Jan koller and Koller goes berserk. as a result koller gets red and also Puolsen gets red even though he had not done anything except getting attack by the giant Koller.. i believe he was 20 or 21 at this time beating up and provoking Monster Koller. he was later then sold to Schalke for a record fee in Denmark. As a person he is the nicest guy ever, I also belive he is a
socialist which is not normal amongst pro footballers these days, an also very intelligent guy with lot on his mind... He dosnt have a traditional agent but a lawyer instead because he dosnt like the whole transferworld and can read his own contract. He have comed to Juve because of one thing only....he wants to win!! either squdetto or CL... and he will suceed i am sure... money is not part of his plan when joining Juve only ambition..
He wil be in the strting eleven quickly i believe.... On the DM he is absolutely the best in the world mental and physics far better than Sissuko...youll see!!!
Total teamplayer....btw....they will NOT cheer on Poulsen in Brøndby on wednesday i think...they hate him to much...And the long blond hair is just to look friendly and get fever yellov cards... He will be our Juve captain in 2years time....Fossa Juve Fossa Viking
