Some people don't have such strong characters to stand up for themselves against a tougher person. You're saying its ok for such a person to be berated and talked down to?
Well, all this talk about Christian "I need to return some videotapes" Bale, I just had to watch American Psycho again.
Man, I dig that sick movie (and don't think I could stomach the book.) Which makes the stuff in this thread make Bale seem like a boy scout.
Dialog from one of my favorite scenes:
Patrick Bateman (Bale's character): Do you know what Ed Gein said about women?
David Van Patten: The maitre 'd at Canal Bar?
Patrick Bateman: No, serial killer, Wisconsin, the '50s.
Craig McDermott: So what did he say?
Patrick Bateman: "When I see a pretty girl walking down the street, I think two things. One part wants me to take her out, talk to her, be real nice and sweet and treat her right."
David Van Patten: And what did the other part think?
Patrick Bateman: "What her head would look like on a stick... ” [laughs]
Marlon Brando was the brattiest, assholest, most spoiled actor ever probably, never lost him any respect. Why should this affect Bale's career?
I personally respect him more now, at least he's not one of those hollywood politically correct white-trash celebrities with a fake smile and a stupid, empty look on their faces.

Heard of Peter O’Toole and Richard Burton?Got nominated 15 times between them, and never one a single Oscar.Brando cooled down considerably before he won his first Oscar. This wont really effect Bale's career since this is probaly his first major rant on a movie set,but a few more of these, and he could take the back seat when it comes to the Academy Awards.
