But in many cases the player is closer to the goal (and the keeper) than DP. So why wouldn't you shoot right away, before the keeper comes closer and spreads himself out in front of the goal and makes it harder?
And taking it round the keeper I don't get at all. If you think the keeper has good reflexes to save your shot, it's much easier for him to stop you running than a ball at full speed.
For any player 1 vs 1 with the keeper isn't as hard as it seems unless you're facing Buffon each time. But even with worlds best keeper, he can easily get beaten with the 1 vs 1. Why?
-It's easy to dribble past him
-The keepers reflex isn't as good as it is when someone is taking a shot from the outside.
-Sometimes it just needs a touch to score considering how big the goal is.
Shooting from outside the range..
-Not any player is capable of doing that, you need a good vision and stable feet
-For the keeper he's got like 0.5 to 1sec to save the shot unlike when it's 1vs1 you don't have 0.1 sec to move.
-Goalkeepers prefer to jump then to stay on the ground. They can save better on air.
