This might sound weird, but I would have put on Giovinco for either Del Piero or Amauri. And I think I would have taken off Alex. I agree if you're talking about putting Giovinco in midfield, Rab and Alen. That wouldn't have done us any good. But what you seem to underestimate is his workrate which, along with his creativity and speed, could have hurt Real Madrid on the counter. Furthermore it would also have been a bigger stimulus for the team than Iaquinta at that point. Either way closing our eyes for a very poor second half display won't do us any good either.
There's nothing we could have done. We would have probably entered the 2nd half in a better way had Marchisio and Legro stayed on the pitch. We made two subs in the 45min.

But lets also give them some credits for trying to attack their best, specially Nedved, he was playing as a CM but he killed them with his attacks at times.

Mark the Informer , did you purposely put Juventus vs Torino Banner in the first post of this Thread ? :lol2:
That is direct link to Juve official site, so next mach is against Torino...
Last night it was against Real so... :juve1:
But we didn't play good...The thecnical part was good (runing, fighting ....), but no style, good combinations... that worys me...and Ruineri will still have a job (like Sucko and Blanc) :faq2:

I have to say though, after seeing yet another replay, what the hell was Casillas doing? The shot was from 5-7m outside the frickin box, that's pretty damn far away going by most shots in a game. And he just stood there. Even if you don't believe in it, at least try?

maybe he thought alex wouldn't shoot and actually try and get through so he either needed to get off his line to close the angles or get out a bit to close down ale. But the captain surprised him by shooting instantly.

once ...in some thread there was a talk about a juve victory....if its the same thing if the winning goal is scored by del piero..or other player (a sali, camo goal)....it ain't the same for me.....fuck you if u judge me wrong...last night it was x2 special because alex scored a beauty of a goal :)..and that's what i feel in every match in which he scores and we win ...2 times the joy.

First I thought he'll sprint with the ball and It'll be 1vs1 with Casillas, but Amauri's pass reflected a bit hitting Pepe's leg so Ale had no other choice but to strike that beautiful goal.

Paralyzed by shock, you mean?
Thats the word.

The commentators on SKY Sport said that Casillas was correctly positioned. In most cases you'd expect the player to run few more metres with the ball and Casillas would have closed the angle well if that was the case. But unexpectedly Del Piero took a perfect shot and no keeper would have saved it.

Why do most forwards like to run at the keeper instead of just shooting? Is that easier? From my strictly non professional experience I would always, always f it up when the keeper came out. Shooting was the safe option.

i think Ale knew the best chance was to shoot because Pepe would have closed him down otherwise... and poor Casillas was expecting something else and could only watch the ball hit the back of the net...

It's easier If you sprint and find yourself 1 on 1 with the keeper. It takes top players to score what Ale has scored. It's not easy to score the goal Del Piero has scored last night.
