Former Juventus hero Zbigniew Boniek thinks Alessandro Del Piero and Amauri can take down Chelsea on Wednesday evening.

The Old Lady face their most important test of the campaign as they travel to Stamford Bridge for their Champions League last 16 first leg.

Chelsea are seen by many as favourites to prevail, but 1985 European Cup winner Boniek has faith in his old club.

“Chelsea are an English team but they have lots of foreigners and play quite a slow, possession game,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It will be difficult for Juve if they allow the Blues to hold the ball, but I think Amauri and Del Piero can make the difference in London.

“It is a difficult competition to win because there are many good teams in the hunt,” the Pole continued.

“Roma and Arsenal will be equal, just like Chelsea against Juventus, but Inter are outsiders against Manchester United.”

Bloody capitalism robbed my generation of having beautiful Russian women for a bottle of vodka and a pair of nylon stockings.
The only thing i envy the elderly. :(
you can still tell them you're making the new generic bond or hitman movie and do whatever you want with them...

In case noone mentioned it yet, Olegario Benquerenca from Portugal is the main referee. This will be only his 3rd match in CL.
He's more famous as the ref who gave a yellow to Miklos Feher shortly before Feher died.

I think and hope Amauri will get a nod before Trezeguet for this match. Otherwise the formation is solid, though I am a little bit worried Nedved and Camo won't be at their best and that means a lot for our play.
