Fazio: 'Roma denied two penalties'
Football Italia

Federico Fazio believes Roma’s Champions League semi-final represents “growth” for the club, but Liverpool got away with “two clear penalties.”

The Giallorossi won 4-2 on the night, but went out of 7-6 on aggregate.

“This should represent consistent growth, so we have to reach this stage next season and try to build on what we’ve done,” Fazio told Mediaset Premium.

“This is continuing what we’ve done so far and the way we did it, playing good football. It’s a pity about today, especially with two incredible penalties not given to us.

“Plus the referee only gave three minutes of stoppages… We have to think positive, take all the positive things we’ve done aside from the two penalties, lift our heads and continue

Who needs VAR when you can throw teams out of the tournament just because.
It's not like it's the most important club football tournament lol.

If i'll have a son i'll tell him to be the goal-line referee. You can wank all game and in case of controversy it's the main ref that will get the heat anyway. :baus:

This is why, ladies and gentlemen, the league is a more accurate representation of quality. In cup competitions one goal or a bad decision can genuinely finish of a tie.
