A Given? :howler: They definitely have a chance, but I would put them below the likes of Barca, Madrid, and Bayern, teams who all possess better coaches, with the exception of Barca, and more proven/experienced game winners.

I wouldn't mind a run like Porto in 04, Liverpool in 05, Milan in 07, Inter in 2010, or Chelsea in 2012.

City hasnt won anything yet. Lets see if they draw Barca/Bayern/Real. But they could get lucky and get Sevilla/Roma. And if the other 3 draw each other + us, it could mean less favorites in semis.

Draw will decide everything. Could be a

Real-Bayern
Juve-Barca
City-Sevilla
Pool-Roma

Semis
Bayern-Barca
City-Pool

Bayern-City final.

Nah Bro. Look.

Roma vs Juve
Liverpool vs Sevilla
City vs Barca
Madrid vs Bayern

Bayern, Juve, Sevilla, and Barca in the semis.

Sevilla vs Juve
Barca vs Bayern

Final:

Bayern vs Juve :donedeal: :baus:
This would be a dream come true for me. I really feel sore that we didn't play Bayern in last year's finals. They should have beaten Real and I think we could have beaten them in the finals or potentially, atletico might even have beaten them in the semis and we could beat Atletico

Seriously all this Man City hype is getting on my nerves. Here in the UK ppl assume its a given. I really hope they get Barcelona next.
Yes, out of all the teams left, I really don't want Man City to win. I'd prefer any1 else win over them

What does Milan 07 have to do with the others?

I think City will lose eventually. They will face one of the giants eventually. But it could be in the final if they get lucky and draw Sevilla/Roma in QF and then Pool in semis.

I still think any of Real/Barca/Bayern will beat them. City doesnt have a proven CL player in them. Even if this Barca is not prime Barca you know Messi will deliver. Same witb Cronaldo. And Bayern with Jupp look like a real force. Less individual more team. I cant see City survive their attack if they are on their A game.

I assumed Milan weren't favored to get that far in 2007 :D :p

It's all about winning, isn't it? The Scum, whether we like it or not, ended up winning in 2010. They weren't favorites, but they still managed to win. That's the point I was trying to make.

@Hist

No offence dude, but do you see what we mean now?
What you are expecting him to beat this Barca with this Chelsea? Thats similar to the Bayern - Juve gap from back in the day. That very same Barca trashed us with the same score at the beginning of the season before they even hit big form and we are a much better team than Chelsea.

CL group qualification is their target on their first return to the CL. Had they got an easier draw like Sevilla I'd have been disappointed but Barca will obviously steamroll Chelsea any day of the week.

Last 8:

City vs Barca
Real vs Roma
Bayern vs Liverpool
Juve vs Sevilla

Semi

Juve vs Barca
Real vs Bayern

Final

Juve vs Bayern
I'd like to see

Real Vs Barca
City Vs Bayern
Liverpool Vs Juventus
Sevilla Vs Roma

All balance ties, we get the "easiest" from the "bigger" teams

Real vs barca, enough said
City Vs Bayern with the pep connection
Liverpool Vs us there is history there
And the last tie is a game that could go either way plus the whole Montella thing

I think a final is definitely possible.

Roma/Sevilla in QF. A team like Liverpool in SF. Juventus-Man City final.

Juventus to knock out Sevilla/Roma and advance to SF, Liverpool to take out Real/Barca and advance to semis, Man City to take out Bayern advance to Semis. Juventus take out Liverpool, Man City take out Real/Barca........ it could happen

Spurs have done the Premier League proud, Spurs was better than Juventus for 165 mins of 180mins in both games, they looked a league above Juventus at times, Juventus did a smash and grab, sort of reminded me of a Championship side knocking out a Premier League team in the FA Cup.

This defeat will do Spurs the world of good, won't happen again next season.

As for Juventus, all i've seen in these 2 games is if they come up against City or Liverpool they'll get pummeled.

They just never learn. I love it.

Tbf , that Inter won in 2010 by beating all the best teams in the competition. Barcelona was overwhelming favorite that year. At some point we gotta face the elite teams who all havent really been at their staggering best this year. By wanting easy teams in quarters and semis, you're low key admitting that we dont have that much of a chance to win CL. A less tougher QF would be nice but if we want to make it far, we simply gotta beat a Madrid/Barca/Bayern. To be the man, you gotta beat the man buddy.

No shit, but there are cases such as Real's 2016 route, which no one would mind.

Of course you gotta beat the man, but it's always better to face him later than sooner (for money if not for anything).
